The pesticide has a detrimental effect on weeds at different stages of development. Already 10-15 days after weeds get on the leaves, they die. But the weeds that appear after treatment do not stop growing.

The manufacturer of the herbicide "Caribou", the Moscow company "FMS Corporation", produces the drug in packages of 150 grams. 4 packages are in a foil bag weighing 600 grams.

The dosage form is a powder with the active ingredient, fillers and surfactants. When diluted with water, a stable suspension of the product is obtained.

Mechanism of action of the drug

The substance trifulsulfaron-methyl acts on weed seedlings for 10-14 days. Already 4-5 hours after spraying, signs of wilting appear in the weeds. Absorption of the product occurs through the leaves. And in wet weather, the pesticide gets into the ground, penetrating into the plants through the roots.

The pesticide blocks carbohydrate metabolism in weeds. At the same time, grass growth stops due to blocking cell division.

The drug does not affect the development of sugar beets. Temporary yellowing of the leaves of the crop may occur if Caribou was used in hot (above 25 degrees Celsius) or cold (below 10 degrees Celsius) weather.

The effect of the drug is active when the weather is dry and the air temperature is in the range of 15-25 degrees Celsius.

The first signs of wilting are especially pronounced within 7-10 days.Sugar beet fields are finally cleared of weeds 15 days after spraying.

2. The first treatment should be scheduled when the weeds have grown to the cotyledon stage.
3. The second time it is necessary to spray after 1-2 weeks when the second wave of weeds appears.
4. Choose sunny, quiet weather for processing, with an air temperature within 15-20 degrees Celsius.

"Caribou" quickly decomposes in the soil, which does not prevent the field from being used for crops in the future.

Application safety

When working with herbicide tank mixtures, safety rules must be followed. The use of personal protective equipment cannot be ignored: rubber gloves, work clothes, a respiratory mask, and a headgear.

After the spraying procedure, you should take a shower and disinfect your clothes. If the solution gets on the skin and mucous membranes, it is recommended to rinse them with water. And in case of poisoning, take activated carbon tablets and induce vomiting.

The degree of toxicity of the drug

“Caribou” belongs to drugs with toxicity class 3. This means that treatment against weeds is carried out:

• far from bodies of water, places of human recreation, populated areas, at least 2 kilometers;
• when the wind speed is about 3-4 meters per second;
• before 7 am or after 22 pm;
• with notification of beekeepers whose apiaries are located nearby.

You need to know that herbicides accumulate in the soil over time, so this must be taken into account when using an area for crops.

Compatibility with anti-dicot herbicides

The effectiveness of the drug "Caribou" increases if it is used in conjunction with herbicides against dicotyledonous weeds containing phenmedipham and desmedipham. The tank mixture destroys weeds that are insensitive to the products: knotweed and knotweed, white pigweed, all types of speedwell, chickweed.

They fight thistle and thistle with the drug “Caribou” mixed with products based on clopyralid.

Compatibility is determined by the solubility of the drugs. If a precipitate is obtained, it is not recommended to use the mixture.

How to store it correctly
