Mechanism of action

No later than four hours after spraying, “Dublon” begins to be actively absorbed by weeds through roots and leaves. The rate of absorption and response depends on several factors:

• air humidity and precipitation;
• weather conditions;
• type of weed;
• phases of their development.

The first signs of the substance’s action are noticeable within five days after spraying:

• weed growth slows down sharply;
• the veins of the leaf blades become discolored;
• their natural color changes: the leaves acquire anthocyanin shades;
• Over time, the leaf dies;
• Complete death of weeds occurs no earlier than 15 days.

Weeds resistant to this herbicide do not die, but even for them chemical treatment does not go unnoticed. In plants, cell division stops, their development and growth are delayed.

As a result of the effect of the drug, weeds do not interfere with the timely growth of corn, the growth of green mass and do not affect its yield.

Herbicide consumption rate

To prepare a solution for spraying corn, you will need 50-70 g/ha of “Dublon Gold” and 0.2 l/ha of “Adju” surfactant. On average, 200-300 liters of ready-made solution are consumed per hectare of crops.

“Dublon” is an excellent tool for reliable protection of corn from weeds and control of yield.

However, it is not recommended for processing sweet and popping corn.

How to prepare the solution

An excellent result in weed control is possible only with the correct preparation of the solution, which is prepared in a certain sequence. Violation of technology often leads to the preparation of a low-quality solution, and spraying does not give the expected effect.

The sprayer is not completely filled with water. After adding the required amount of herbicide, mix everything thoroughly. To increase the degree of penetration of “Dublon Gold” into the leaves and roots, as well as to increase the efficiency of processing, the drug “Adju” is added. Next, add water to the required volume.

If processing occurs using technology, first prepare a mother solution in a bucket or other small container.

Precautions when working with the product and first aid for poisoning

"Dublon Gold" is a moderately dangerous compound. When preparing the solution and carrying out the processing, special care is required. During spraying, it is mandatory to use personal skin and vision protection.

Preparing the solution and processing corn requires care. In case of poisoning, stop spraying and leave the reach of the drug. Take off your overalls and move to fresh air. If the herbicide gets on the skin, wash it off thoroughly with water and soap.

Phytotoxicity, crop tolerance, resistance

If the application rates are observed, corn is resistant to the drug. It is not used in conjunction with other herbicides, as it may reduce the effectiveness of treatment and damage the corn.

Productive cultivation of crops is possible only with the use of herbicides to which weeds are not addictive. "Doubloon" does not cause such an effect. However, when planting corn every year, periodic changes of the drug are recommended.

Terms and conditions of storage of the product

The herbicide is stored in specialized premises. During this period, carefully monitor the tightness of the container. In cases of damage, the herbicide is immediately poured into another tightly closed container. Storage in loose form is unacceptable. It is strictly forbidden to keep it together with animal feed and other food products.

The temperature range recommended by the manufacturer for storing Dublon Gold is from -25 °C to +35 °C.If recommendations for storage conditions are followed, it does not lose its effectiveness and initial qualities for two years.
