Herbicide Lancelot is intended for treating areas occupied by heading cereal crops. Effective against many weed dicotyledons, including malicious ones - nivaria, sow thistle, thistle, and bedstraw. Using a herbicide, the planting area is prepared for the following species in the crop rotation.
Lancelot includes two active compounds:
- aminopyralid – 300 g/l;
- florasulam – 150 g/l.
Lancelot 450 is available in granular form. The solution is an aqueous dispersion. Canister volume – 0.5 kg/10 × 0.5 kg. Manufacturer: American company DOW AgroSciences.
How the herbicide Lancelot works
The active components penetrate plant tissues through the leaf surface and enter the meristem. Hormonal synthesis is inhibited there, resulting in a failure of cell division. Thanks to the combination of two components, Lancelot copes with weeds that are resistant to the effects of sulfonylurea and dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, preventing the emergence of resistance.
The herbicidal effect is rapid. Growth processes stop after a day. And the complete death of weeds is observed after 2 weeks.
After applying the herbicide, strict adherence to crop rotation is required. The following are grown on the treated area:
- cereals, corn - after a month;
- winter and fodder cereals, winter rape – in the fall of the same season;
- spring cereals, rapeseed, corn - in the spring of the next season;
- potatoes, flax, sunflowers, beets, cabbage, onions - after a year, provided the amount of rainfall is from 300 mm;
- fodder and food beans, carrots - after 1.5 years.

Lancelot 450 is one of the most used herbicides.Its popularity is due to many advantages:
- the ability to destroy both the green and root parts of weeds;
- highly effective against weeds that are resistant to sulfonylureas and imidazolinones;
- the ability to kill the most malicious weeds - sow thistle, chamomile, thistle, ragweed, bedstraw;
- possibility of application up to the stage of the second internode in a cultivated species;
- economic optimization of crop rotation.
Farmers do not name any particular shortcomings. One can only note the ineffectiveness of using the herbicide on waterlogged soil and the inadmissibility of aerial spraying.

How to prepare and use the working mixture?
The solution is made before use. Shake the canister thoroughly before opening. The tank of the spraying device is filled one third with water. Add a measured amount of the drug. Add water to the edge of the tank while continuously stirring with a mechanical stirrer. The solution is prepared on a filling platform, which is then cleaned.
Treatment is carried out by spraying, at air temperatures from +10 to +25 °C. The herbicide is impervious to moisture; its effectiveness does not decrease if it rains an hour after application. But you should not spray if it is expected to get colder. Crops weakened by disease or adverse weather conditions should not be treated.
Liquid consumption is 200-300 liters per hectare.
Safety precautions for use
Herbicide Lancelot 450 is a moderately toxic substance for humans. Therefore, you need to work with it using standard means of protecting the skin, visual and respiratory organs: work clothes, rubber gloves, a respirator.
Toxicity and compatibility of the product

To avoid harming bees, the following rules should be considered:
- processing at wind speeds up to 5 m/s;
- border flight area of bees – from 3 km;
- flight ban – from 3 hours.
The herbicide is toxic to fish. It is prohibited to use it in the sanitary zone of reservoirs belonging to fish farms.
Lancelot 450 is effective when combined with the drug Axial, if treatment of areas infested with both dicotyledonous and cereal species is required. Also compatible with most herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and water-soluble mineral complexes.
Conditions and periods of storage of herbicide
Store Lancelot in a non-damp, ventilated area in the canister in which it was purchased. There should be no feed, fertilizers, water sources, or food products nearby. Temperature at the storage location is from -20 to +40 °C.
Shelf life – 3 years.
