Fungal infections can affect any plant. Various agrochemical preparations are used to protect garden and vegetable crops and cereal crops. The use of cyproconazole helps prevent the development of rust fungi, septoria, powdery mildew and a number of other diseases on crops that can destroy plantings and future harvests.
Composition and release form of the systemic fungicide cyproconazole
The substance is a systemic pesticide.It has healing, protective and eradicating capabilities. Belongs to the chemical class of triazoles. It is a white, odorless, crystalline substance. Highly soluble in organic solvents. It has thermal and photostability. Solutions with cyproconazole do not change properties when exposed to sunlight.
The product is supplied to the market in the form of a suspension of various concentrations (from 0.06 to 40%) or an emulsion concentrate (3%). Packaged in ampoules for use in summer cottages and polymer canisters with a capacity of 5 liters for treating large areas. The drug "Alcor" contains 400 grams/liter of cyproconazole.
Purpose and mechanism of action
The product is intended for treating seeds, protecting plants from fungal infections and treating infected crops. Cyproconazole quickly penetrates into all parts of the plant, spreading acropetally (from the roots to the top), basipetal (from the top down to the lateral leaves), and has a translaminar effect - it is able to penetrate into the leaf blade through its upper layers. It passes from one leaf surface to another; the therapeutic effect when spraying infected plants occurs 15-20 minutes after treatment.
Used for processing spring and winter crops of wheat, barley, millet, rye. It is used to protect against fungal infections of grapes, sugar beet crops, spraying fruit trees, and on coffee plantations. Able to fight fungal diseases:
- scab;
- powdery mildew;
- various types of rust;
- septoria;
- Phomasis;
- cercospora;
- all types of smut.
Suppresses the biosynthesis process, penetrating the intercellular membranes of the fungus, preventing its spread. Effectively destroys the resulting infection, quickly accumulating in plant tissues.
Consumption rate and rules for using the product
Plants are sprayed with a working solution of the drug. The concentrate is mixed with 1/3 of the recommended volume of water with constant stirring, then the amount of liquid is added with water to the required volume.
Processed plantings | The disease that the pesticide protects against | Consumption rates in liters/hectare | Treatment period, consumption of working solution, liters/hectare | Number of sprays |
Any variety of wheat | From various types of rust | 0,1 | During the growing season, 300
In case of fusarium head blight - after the formation of the ear or at the beginning of flowering |

The drug is not washed off by precipitation and provides a protective effect for 45 days after treatment.
Important: do not exceed the recommended dosage of medications.
Seed processing is carried out in special dressing machines. Spraying of crops is carried out at least a month before harvest. Mechanical work on the plots is allowed after 3 days after spraying the plantings.
Safety precautions when using the drug
Depending on the type, drugs containing cyproconazole may have a hazard class 2 or 3 for humans (strong or moderate toxicity) and a hazard class 3 for bees. The preparation of the working solution is carried out at sites specially equipped for working with pesticides. They are located away from residential and agricultural buildings.
All work on seed dressing and plant spraying is carried out by personnel who have been trained in safety precautions when using pesticides. Personnel are provided with protective suits, goggles, and rubber gloves. Smoking and eating are prohibited during work.
When working on personal property, drugs are diluted in containers not intended for food products. Wear thick clothing with long sleeves, protect your hands with rubber gloves, and protect your eyes with goggles or a protective screen. Hair is covered with a headscarf or cap. At the end of the treatment, exposed areas of the body are washed with water, and clothes are washed. The sprayer is freed from any remaining product, all parts are washed and dried.
If the drugs come into contact with the eyes or skin, wash the area with a stream of running water. If the drug gets inside, you must rinse your stomach and go to a medical facility, taking with you the label from the drug packaging, indicating its name and composition.
Compatibility
The drug is compatible with most pesticides. Suitable for preparing tank mixtures; the components are first checked for physical and chemical compatibility, and the time of use of agrochemicals is taken into account.
Storage conditions
Pesticides are stored in tightly closed original packaging.For industrial use - in specially equipped rooms for storing agrochemicals. When used in summer cottages, drugs are placed in places inaccessible to children and pets. Do not store next to medications.
Shelf life – 2 years from the date of manufacture.
What can be replaced?
There are many drugs containing cyproconazole as an active substance, for example: Avaxx CE; "Virtuoso" CE; "Maestro" CE; "Alpari" CE.
