It is known that insect pests cause significant, if not irreparable, damage to agricultural crops. Without treatment with special preparations, the development of damaged plants is disrupted, which affects the yield. Let's consider the use of the Kinfos insecticide according to the instructions for use, composition and release form, how the drug works, its analogues and compatible products.
Composition, release form and purpose of the insecticide
Kinfos contains 2 active substances - dimethoate in the amount of 300 g per 1 liter and beta-cypermethrin in the amount of 40 g per 1 liter. The manufacturer, JSC Shchelkovo Agrokhim, produces the drug in the form of a concentrated emulsion. According to the method of penetration, “Kinfos” is an intestinal and contact pesticide, it has insecticidal and acaricidal effect. Available in plastic canisters with a capacity of 5 and 10 liters.
The product is used against common pests on grain crops, potato plantings, beets, fruit and other crops.
How does Kinfos work?
The effectiveness of the insecticide is ensured by 2 compounds belonging to different classes; their combination enhances the effect of each. Dimethoate stops esterase synthesis, disrupts the activity of the central nervous system and respiration. Beta-cypermethrin also stops the activity of the nervous system and also disrupts the permeability of cell membranes.
"Kinfos" protects plants for at least 2 weeks in a row, the duration of this period depends on the type of pest and weather conditions.
Consumption rate and use of the product
The application rate of Kinfos varies depending on the type of crop being processed (1 liter per hectare):
- wheat – from 0.15-0.25 to 0.5;
- oats and barley, potatoes – 0.15-0.2;
- pastures – 0.3-0.4;
- beets, sunflowers, corn, legumes – 0.25-0.4;
- soybean – 0.3-0.5;
- fruit and grapes – 0.4-0.5.
Spraying is carried out at different times - before germination or on vegetative plants, from locusts - during the development of larvae. The consumption of insecticide liquid is also different - from 100-200 liters per hectare to 200-400 liters per hectare for grains, legumes and vegetables; up to 600-1500 l per hectare for fruit and grapevines. The waiting period is from 20 to 60 days, the frequency of treatments is 1 or 2.
Safety precautions for use
"Kinfos" refers to insecticides with class 3 hazard to humans. These are low-risk drugs. The product is very toxic for bees; it is prohibited to treat plantings located near apiaries and gardens during flowering. Do not use the product in fields near water bodies.
You need to work with an insecticide solution and spray crops while wearing protective clothing; you also need to wear gloves, goggles and a respirator. Protective equipment is necessary to prevent the penetration of solution particles into the respiratory system, contact with the eyes and skin. If the solution gets on your skin or eyes, rinse quickly with clean water.
Concomitant medications
"Kinfos" combines well with other products designed to protect plants from damage by insects. It is combined not only with insecticides, but also with fungicides (cannot be mixed with alkaline reaction preparations). When mixing different drugs, if their compatibility is not known, you need to check it yourself. To do this, you need to mix a small amount of the products in a separate container and, if no chemical reaction is observed, you can mix the drugs in the tank.
Subtleties of storage
The insecticide is stored for 2 years if storage conditions are not violated. The product must be kept in a warehouse for agrochemicals and fertilizers at a temperature from -10 ˚С to +25 ˚С. The warehouse should be dark and dry. Do not store food, medicines or feed mixtures in the warehouse.
After expiration of the storage period, the insecticide cannot be used.The prepared solution can be stored only for 1 day after preparation.
Analogues of the product
For dimethoate, substitutes for “Kinfos” include the herbicides “Alfa Director”, “Bi-58 Novy”, “Binadin”, “Binom”, “Bishka”, “Danadim”, “Desant”, “Dimet”, “Dimethoat- 400", "Dimefos", "Dishance", "Evrodim", "Rangoli-Duncan", "Rogor-S", "Sirocco", "Tagore", "Terradim", "Tibor", "Tod", "Fostran" and etc.
In terms of beta-cypermethrin, analogues of the insecticide for agriculture are “Kinmiks” and “Tibor”, for use on private farms - “Kinmiks”.
"Kinfos" is effective against many types of pests on grain, fruit, and vegetable crops. Gives a long-lasting protective effect. It is economically used and works in 1 or 2 treatments.
