Method of preparation: dissolve the drug “Oflosan” in water and pour into automatic drinking bowls or regular ones. During the course of treatment or prevention, do not give any liquid other than the solution. The duration of prophylaxis is 3-5 days, therapy is 1-2 weeks. Dosage for young animals for prevention is 0.5 ml per 10 kg of body weight, for treatment – 0.5-1 ml. For chickens, the dosage is the same - 1 ml per 10 kg.
When treating an infection, sick birds must first be removed from healthy ones and then treatment must begin. If the livestock is large and the antibiotic is fed for a long course, then the means need to be changed so that the pathogens do not have time to get used to it. Do not skip the administration of the drug; missing a dose leads to a decrease in its effectiveness. In case of violation of the regimen, the administration of the drug should be resumed according to the standard regimen and dose.
During treatment with Oflosan, chickens should not be given other antibiotics. If such symptoms appear, you need to replace the drug, give the chickens to drink clean water, or an activated carbon solution. Dehydration can be corrected by drinking a weak salt solution. Contraindication – individual sensitivity of the bird to ofloxacin.
Compatibility with other substances
During treatment with Oflosan, chickens should not be given other antibiotics or medications in general. It doesn't go well with them. The combined use of drugs puts excessive stress on the liver.
Storage and shelf life
Store Oflosan in a closed container at a temperature of 5 °C to 25 °C in a dry, unlit place. It is necessary to keep the product away from food, feed, and medicines. Contact of children, pets and domestic animals with the antibiotic is prohibited.Storage time – 2 years from the date of production. After the shelf life has expired, Oflosan cannot be used. Expired product must be disposed of.
Analogs
