“Osmokot” is a mineral complex fertilizer produced in the form of granules with a special soluble coating. It is a membrane film made of resin that dissolves in the soil under the influence of biological factors. As a result of the slow and gradual release of micro- and macroelements, plants receive the necessary nutrition throughout the growing season.

Fertilizer "Osmokot" contains the necessary components in proportions required for the successful growth, flowering and fruiting of a particular crop. In addition to nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus, these are trace elements such as magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, boron, copper, iron and zinc. The balanced composition helps the active growth of plants, promotes rapid flowering and the formation of a large harvest of excellent quality and taste.

The Osmokot series includes the following varieties:

1. Osmocote Bloom with a validity period of 2-3 months. Used for seedlings, indoor and flower and ornamental plants. Suitable for seedlings, annuals, perennials, flowering, ornamental, berry plants.

Complex fertilizer "Osmokot" is used for the following crops:

Safety precautions when working with the drug

When using Osmocote, you must follow the following safety rules:

1. Use personal protective equipment: goggles, respirator and rubber gloves. Clothing must cover your arms and legs; closed shoes are recommended.
2. While using the fertilizer, do not eat, drink, or smoke.
3. After completing the work, you need to change clothes and take a shower. Wash your hands and face with soap.

If, while working with the product, it gets on the skin, mucous membranes or eyes, the surfaces should be rinsed with plenty of running water. Inhaling fertilizer dust may cause a worker to feel unwell. It needs to be taken out of the room into fresh air.

Compatibility with other substances

Since Osmokot is a balanced complex of long-acting macro- and microelements, supplementing it with other fertilizers not only makes no sense, but can also be fraught with overdose.Like a lack of nutrients, their excess can lead to negative consequences for plantings and crops.

Since the fertilizer is applied to the soil in dry (granular) form, there is no need to mix it with pesticides. However, it is prohibited to mix Osmocot with products that have a tendency to spontaneous combustion and with powerful oxidizing agents.

Storage rules and expiration date

Since the drug has a water-soluble granule, it must be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. The indoor temperature should not exceed 15 degrees Celsius.

The fertilizer must be kept out of the reach of animals and children; it must not be stored together with food, drinks, feed and medicines. Packages must be tightly closed and labeled. The chemical is stored in such a way as to avoid the formation of dust from crumbling or damaged granules.

The shelf life is indicated by the manufacturer on the Osmokot packaging and is 3 years. Provided that the storage rules are strictly followed, the shelf life of the drug is unlimited.

Fertilizers are sold in stores, positioned as analogues of Osmocot. However, they do not have the same purity and quality as the original drug. The only reason why analogues may be preferred is lower cost.
