2 best recipes for making feijoa wine at home

Feijoa berry wine is a strong and sweet drink that is produced today in many enterprises. Each manufacturer makes the product in its own way, using different preparation secrets. Wine is made from yeast and tartaric acid. These ingredients help start the fermentation process.

Is it even possible to make wine from feijoa?

Many wine drinkers face a similar question. After all, feijoa contains only about 5% sugar, which is not enough for such a procedure.Experts say that almost any fruit or berry is suitable for the production of alcoholic beverages, despite the low sugar content in the composition. You can compensate for the deficiency with pure granulated sugar.

Important! One of the main points in the process is the use of wine yeast. Without them the wine will not ferment and will not become strong.

Storage periods and rules

Homemade wine is best stored in a cool room with good ventilation. A cellar, pantry or balcony is suitable for these purposes. It is permissible to keep the drink in the refrigerator, but provided that the temperature is set at 4-9 degrees Celsius. Higher or lower levels can harm alcohol consumption. The shelf life of the product depends on the preparation method and storage conditions. On average it reaches 2-5 years.

Further, the wine may become stronger, sediment appears on it, and the contents become cloudy. It is better not to drink the drink in this form.
