Weeds do not ignore crops, which harms the harvest. Weeds are especially dangerous in cold, rainy weather. By absorbing nutrients from the soil, weeds thrive when cultivated plants get sick and die. The herbicide Ballet comes to the rescue, distinguished by its composition and properties. Let's take a closer look at the characteristics and methods of using the drug.

Composition and form of release of the product
1 liter of herbicide contains two active elements:
- acid (2,4-D) in the form of low-volatile C7-C9 esters in an amount of 550 grams;
- herbicide florasulam, in the amount of 7.4 grams.
Herbicide Ballet is a productive product. Destroys dicotyledonous weeds that live in crops of wheat and spring barley, corn, millet, and sorghum.
Advantages and disadvantages
Among the advantages, the following indicators stand out:
- low cost of processing a hectare;
- wide field of activity;
- high speed response. Weeds stop growing a day after spraying with the drug, regardless of the weather;
- eradication of the following weeds: bindweed, milkweed, chamomile, molokan and others;
- no restrictions on crop rotation;
- special recipe;
- activity and high efficiency in the fight against weeds, which are poorly destroyed, resistant to herbicides 2,4-D, MCPA and others;
- reducing the risk of developing resistance in weeds to infections, poisons, and parasites.
No serious deficiencies were found in the herbicide. But there are small deviations from the norm:
- the drug does not affect weeds during the flowering period;
- has a second hazard class;
- the product is not used for fruit and vegetable plants;
- poorly effective drug in the fight against dwarf weeds.
How does it work?
The herbicide penetrates the weed (usually through the leaves) and, passing through the stems, leaves and roots, is concentrated in them. The growth of the weed is disrupted, tissues grow, and cells become deformed. The movement of nutrients and photosynthetic products slows down. As a result, the weed plant dies.
Indications for use
Herbicides are used in extreme cases when weeding does not bring success.
Consumption rates
When treating land plots with the herbicide Ballet, the characteristics of the area are taken into account. Where grain crops are planted with leguminous crops, cultivation is excluded. The same goes for areas with broad-leaved plants.
It is necessary to observe the temperature regime. The recommended air temperature on the day of treatment is from 8 to 25 °C. The best results are achieved when spraying annual specimens 5-10 cm high, as well as perennials in the leaf rosette phase.
Typically, 0.3 liters of the drug are used per 1 hectare. If there is a large amount of weeds on the site, the dose is increased to 0.5 liters.
Attention! Manufacturers of the herbicide Ballet guarantee protection of the site from the day of spraying until the next wave of weed emergence.
Preparation of working solution
The herbicide is sold in the form of an emulsion, but the area is treated with a solution that is prepared immediately before work. For 1 hectare of land, 200-300 liters of product are required. A little water is poured into the tank, then the Ballet preparation is added according to the norms, which is a guarantee of success. The contents of the tank are mixed. Next, the volume is adjusted to normal. The working solution is ready. Start spraying.
Important! When working with the prepared solution, the contents of the tank require constant stirring.
Instructions for use of herbicide Ballet
Each package contains user instructions, following which will ensure good performance. It is recommended to prepare 200-300 liters of spray solution, which contains 0.3-0.5 liters of herbicide. This liquid is enough for 1 hectare.
For sorghum
The herbicide is used when the weeds are in the early stages of growth and when 3-6 leaves of the crop appear.
For corn
Spraying is carried out in the early stages of weed growth and the appearance of 4-5 leaves on the plant.
Spring barley, winter and spring wheat
Weed protection is carried out at the initial stages of weed growth and at the tillering stage of wheat.
For millet
Spraying is carried out in the early stages of growth and tillering of the crop.
Waiting time and efficiency
The protective effect lasts 30 days, regardless of the weather. The speed of action on annual plants is a day, perennial plants - up to 2 days. Four days after treatment, the following signs of the effects of the drug Ballet are observed:
- change in the color of weeds;
- leaf curling;
- grass drying out;
- reduction and shortening of internodes.
Complete extinction of weeds occurs within 10-20 days from the moment of spraying.
Possibility of resistance
A selective agent containing two active substances in the formula reduces the likelihood of resistance.
Compatibility with other tools
Ballet is compatible with fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, and growth regulators that are used for cereal crops.
Precautions when working with the drug
Since Ballet is a chemical product, human health is at risk when working with it. Taking precautions will help avoid unpleasant consequences.
How to behave:
- Prepare the solution for spraying in a special room, where it is then disinfected.
- Do not enter the treated areas for four days after spraying.
- Carry out the treatment in special clothing.
- Try to avoid contact of the solution with the skin and mucous membranes of the eyes.
- Do not use the drug Ballet near residential buildings, open bodies of water, or holiday villages.
First aid for poisoning
Providing assistance is as follows:
- Abundant rinsing of the mucous membrane and skin in areas of contact with the herbicide.
- Gastric lavage if the drug enters the gastrointestinal tract.
- Use of sorbents.
- Fresh air supply.
- Call a doctor to the scene of the incident.
Transportation and storage duration
Store Ballet in a closed container with an airtight lid at a temperature of 9-32°. Storage time – 3 years.
