Instructions for using the fungicide Discor to combat plant diseases

The purpose of the fungicide "Diskor" is to protect fruit trees, potatoes and beets for many diseases. The product is highly active, has a wide spectrum of action, destroying fungi from different classes. Let's consider the principle of action, composition of the drug, dosage and consumption rates according to the instructions, compatibility with other agricultural products and analogues of this drug.

Composition and release form of fungicide Discor

The active ingredient "Discora" is difenoconazole, which belongs to the class of triazoles, in an amount of 250 g per 1 liter. Produced by AGRUSKHIM LLC in the form of a concentrated emulsion in 1 liter bottles and 5 liter canisters. Approved for use in industrial crop plantings and in households and private gardens.

"Diskor" refers to contact and systemic pesticides, by the nature of action - to protective, healing and immunizing fungicides, by action on pathogenic microorganisms - to pesticides and fungicides.

Mechanism of action and scope of application

Difenoconazole as part of the fungicide for combating plant diseases "Diskor" disrupts the synthesis of sterols in fungal tissues. These substances are necessary for the development of fungi, as a result of which their functionality stops.

Expert:
According to the regulations, “Diskor” is used to combat fungal diseases on apple trees, pears, potatoes, fodder and sugar beets, grapes, flower crops and ornamental shrubs.

Consumption rate and instructions for use of the drug

The healing effect is most pronounced if the treatment is done no later than 4 days after infection. The drug has a fungicidal effect on fruits and leaves. The protection period on fruit trees is 20-30 days, 20-40 days on potatoes.

The drug should be diluted in warm water at a temperature of 25 °C. In cold or, conversely, in hot water, it may lose some of its properties.

Apple tree, pear tree

For scab and powdery mildew, apple and pear trees are treated up to 4 times in different phases of the growing season. The rate of application of the product is 0.15-0.2 liters, consumption is 10 liters per hundred square meters. The waiting period is 28 days.Apple trees are sprayed against Alternaria blight 2 times - per pink bud and after 2 weeks. Application rate – 0.3-0.35 l, consumption – 15 l per hundred square meters. The waiting period is 28 days.

Potato

The crop is sprayed against Alternaria when signs of the disease appear and after 1.5-2 weeks. The norm is 0.3-0.4 l, liquid consumption is 2-4 l per hundred square meters. The waiting period is 10 days.

Flower crops

Flowers are sprayed against powdery mildew 2 times - when infection is detected and 2 weeks after. Liquid consumption is 10 liters per hundred square meters at a concentration of 2 ml per 10 liters. For gray rot, the concentration is different - 4 ml per 10 l.

Application for roses

Roses are sprayed against powdery mildew and black spot 2 times - when the disease is detected and 2 weeks after. Liquid consumption is 10 liters per hundred square meters or up to 1 liter for each plant. The concentration of the solution is different: for dew – 2 ml per 10 l, for spotting – 5 ml per 10 l.

Ornamental shrubs

Shrubs are treated against spotting when signs of infection are detected and again after 2 weeks. The concentration of the solution is 5 ml per 10 liters, this amount is calculated per hundred square meters.

Sugar beet

Fodder and sugar beets are sprayed against powdery mildew, fomosis, cercospora, and alternaria blight twice during the growing season. Application rate – 0.3-0.4 l, consumption – 3 l per hundred square meters. The waiting period is 20 days after the last treatment.

Grape

From oidium, black spot, rubella, Phomopsis and especially from black rot, grapes are treated 2 times. Concentration – 2 ml per 10 l.

Safety precautions when using the product

"Diskor" refers to products with hazard class 3 for people and bees. Do not use near ponds or water sources. If the rules are followed, the fungicide is not phytotoxic, not toxic to birds, soil, earthworms, and insects. When working with the product, you need to wear protective clothing, wear rubber gloves on your hands, and a respirator on your face. Spraying should be done on a dry day, without wind. There should be no strangers near the treated area.

After processing the plants, you need to rinse the equipment with water, wash your hands and face with soap. In case of contact with skin, mouth, nose and eyes, rinse with plenty of water. In case of poisoning, rinse the stomach with water; if the symptoms do not disappear, consult a doctor.

Compatibility with other pesticides

Discor can be combined in mixtures with many pesticides that are used in the garden and for processing potatoes. Despite this, the manufacturer recommends conducting a compatibility experiment before diluting the treatment solution. If there are no changes in the color and temperature of the total liquid, and no precipitation occurs, then the products can be used simultaneously.

How to store it correctly?

To store Discor, you should choose a dry, dark and warm room; the drug is stored at a temperature from -5 to +35 ˚С. If it is stored in closed production packaging, it can be used for 2 years. After this period, its effectiveness decreases and it is not advisable to use it.

What can be replaced?

Analogues with the same active ingredient are agricultural preparations “Raek”, “Skor”, “Planthenol”, “Chistotsvet”, “Khranitel”, “Skoroshans”, “Fardi”. Their action and purpose are almost similar to Discor. To enhance the effectiveness of these pesticides, it is recommended to alternate them when spraying crops to prevent pathogens from developing resistance to any of them. However, as the manufacturers note, mushrooms do not develop resistance to Discor.

How is it different from the drug "Skor"

The drugs differ in that they are produced by different companies: “Diskor” - Agrushim LLC, “Skor” - the Dutch “Syngenta”. “Skorom” can be used to treat crops against cleasterosporiasis, coccomycosis, leaf curl and scab. The product has a wider list of crops - in addition to floral and ornamental plants, it can be sprayed on tomatoes and carrots, apricots, cherries, pears and plums, and peaches.

But the active substance of the drugs is the same - difenoconazole, therefore, if necessary, you can replace one with the other, observing the purpose and dosage.

"Diskor" is a systemic and contact fungicide of domestic production. It is distinguished by its rapid penetration into the tissues of the treated plants, rapid action, and low consumption rates. The drug can inhibit the formation of spores by pathogens and weaken re-infection if spraying was carried out later than the established deadlines or if disease symptoms are already noticeable.

Discor has flexible terms of use; it can be used in different phases of the growing season. Destroys fungi on leaves and fruits without causing burns or deformation. Increases crop yields, improves fruit quality, and extends shelf life. Protects seed and ware potatoes from Alternaria blight during storage.
