Release form and active ingredient of the fungicide "Ordan"
The manufacturer of this product is CJSC August (Russia), which produces the well-known fungicide Topaz. It contains 2 active ingredients - copper oxychloride in the amount of 689 g per 1 kg and cymoxanil in the amount of 42 g per 1 kg. The fungicide is produced by the manufacturer in the form of powder, packaged in boxes of 1 kg, as well as bags of 15 kg.
According to the method of penetration, “Ordan” belongs to contact and systemic pesticides, and according to the nature of action, it belongs to protective and curative fungicides.
Mechanism and spectrum of action
The active ingredients in the pesticide have a different mechanism of action, but they are aimed at combating fungal infections of cultivated plants: late blight, alternaria, downy mildew, and act in a complex manner. The drug localizes and inhibits pathogens, prevents fungal spores and mycelium from entering plant tissue, and treats disease-damaged specimens.
Speed of exposure and period of protective action
The drug "Ordan" begins to act within 2 hours after treatment. Preventive protection lasts 1-2 weeks, which depends on the level of damage, the therapeutic effect lasts 2-4 days. At recommended doses, Ordan is non-toxic to plants.
How to breed?
The Ordan fungicide solution is prepared using standard technology - first, the required portion of the powder is diluted in a small volume of water, and the solution is poured into the sprayer tank. Then add clean water to bring the total volume of the solution to the required volume. Spraying is carried out only with freshly prepared solution.
Consumption rate and instructions for use of the drug
Depending on the crop, the concentration of the solution and its consumption rate will be different. This is detailed in the instructions for use.
On tomatoes and cucumbers
For spraying cucumbers growing in ordinary beds and greenhouses against peronosporosis, the application rate is 2.5-3 kg per hectare. Spraying is carried out prophylactically when 4-6 leaves appear on the bushes, or no later than 2 days after infection. Then 2 more treatments are carried out for greenhouses and 4 for open ground cucumbers. The interval between treatments is 1-1.5 weeks. Liquid consumption in greenhouses is 10 liters per hundred square meters, in beds – 6 liters per hundred square meters. The waiting period is 3 and 5 days, respectively.
The same scheme applies to treating tomatoes growing in greenhouses and simple beds against late blight and alternaria.
On potatoes, onions
Onions are sprayed against pyrenosporosis 3 times with a break of 1-1.5 weeks. The application rate is 2 kg per hectare, consumption is 4-6 liters per hectare. The waiting period is 20 days. Potatoes from infection with Alternaria and late blight are treated 3 times. The application rate is 2-2.5 kg per hectare, solution consumption is 4 liters per hectare. The waiting period is 20 days.
Strawberry
"Ordan" is also used for protective or therapeutic treatment of strawberry bushes against brown spot. With this disease, treatment with “Ordan” is done to prevent infection. The solution is made from 25 g of powder per 10 liters of water.5 liters of this solution are distributed per hundred square meters.
Grape processing
Grapes are sprayed against mildew 3 times with an interval of 1-1.5 weeks. The application rate is 2.5-3 liters per hectare, solution consumption is 100 liters per hectare. At least 3 weeks must pass before picking the berries.
Roses and other ornamental plants
Rose bushes are sprayed against rust as soon as the first signs of infection are detected. The concentration of the solution is 50 g per 10 l.
"Ordan" for indoor flowers
Indoor cultures against fungal diseases are treated with a solution of 1-5 g of powder per 1 liter.
Security measures
Treatment with the drug is carried out in the mornings or evenings so that sunburn does not form on the leaves. The day should not be cloudy or windless. The solution must be used in its entirety; it cannot be stored even for a short time, so you need to prepare such a volume that you can use it all.
"Ordan" belongs to fungicides with hazard class 3. To work with it, you need to wear thick clothes and shoes to cover all vulnerable areas of the body.
Wear a respirator, goggles and gloves. Do not drink, eat, or smoke while preparing the solution and using it. After work, wash your face and hands, rinse the areas on which the solution has come into contact. “Ordan” cannot be used near ponds or apiaries; it cannot be used to treat crops during the flowering of gardens.
First aid for poisoning
In case of accidental poisoning, you need to drink activated carbon tablets and plenty of water. After some time, induce vomiting. If the condition has not stabilized, seek medical help.
Compatibility with other pesticides
Fungicide "Ordan" can be combined with many pesticides. Do not mix it with drugs that have an alkaline reaction.If exact information about compatibility is not indicated in the instructions, you need to test the compatibility of the drugs yourself before starting work: stir them in a small container and, if no changes occur, you can stir them in the tank mixture.
Expiration date and storage rules
“Ordan” should be stored in a dark, unlit place. Medicines, food for people, animal feed, and household products should not be placed nearby. The storage room must be inaccessible to children and pets. The shelf life of the product in the original packaging is 3 years; after use, the product is unsuitable for use. Do not store the prepared solution; discard what remains after processing.
Substitutes for "Ordan"
Analogues are the drugs “Kurzat”, “Hom” and “Oksikhom”, “Abiga Peak”. They contain the same active ingredients. The purposes of these drugs are different, but, if necessary, you can replace one with another if the plant is affected by a disease that the drug can fight.
