Fungicide and bactericide "Gamair" are used to protect plants from dangerous bacterial and fungal diseases. This is a biological drug whose action is based on the activity of beneficial bacteria. Microorganisms in the process of life secrete natural antibiotics that inhibit pathogens, and thus fight dangerous diseases.
Composition and principle of action
"Gamair" is a biological product that is used to protect plants from bacterial and fungal diseases.This is a fungicide based on bacteria (spores) of Bacillus subtilis. The drug "Gamair" can be in solid (tablets) or liquid (suspension concentrate) form. The fungicide is also sold as a wettable powder. Before use, it is diluted with water according to the instructions.
Plants are treated with a fungicidal agent during the growing season at the first signs of bacterial or fungal infections. The biological product is even used for preventive purposes. This is a contact fungicide, which is recommended for treating seed material (potato tubers before planting, roots of seedlings). You can water the soil with the biological product 1-3 days before sowing the seeds.
The active substance (bacteria) suppresses the development of bacterial and fungal microflora on the surface of plants and root crops. The biological product inhibits the development of rot and prevents the destruction of vegetables. The fungicide fights bacterial cancer pathogens and suppresses the development of phytopathogenic fungi. During the season it can be used no more than three times with an interval of 10-15 days.
Purpose
The bactericide is used to protect plants from a number of fungal and bacterial diseases. This product fights spotting, wilting, and root rot. "Gamair" protects against late blight, septoria, moniliosis, scab, peronospora, powdery mildew, as well as against bacteriosis (vascular and mucous), bacterial cancer and bacterial rot. The biological product is used to treat cabbage, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, potatoes, flower plants, and fruit trees. The fungicide treats root rot, diseases of stems, flowers, leaves and fruits.
Advantages and disadvantages
Advantages of the drug "Gamair":
- dissolves well in warm water;
- can be used to treat and prevent diseases;
- can be placed in a hole for seeds or seedlings;
- can be used to treat the soil before sowing or planting plants;
- can be used in any growing season (before flowering, at the time of budding or ripening of fruits);
- The biological product is valid for 15 days;
- does not accumulate in plants.
Disadvantages of biofungicide:
- does not help with severe lesions;
- It is quickly washed off by rain and requires re-treatment.
Compatibility with other tools
The biological product "Gamair" can be combined with other fungicides (except chemical ones), as well as with insecticides, fertilizers and growth stimulants. In tank mixtures and working solutions, the dosage of all drugs is adjusted based on the manufacturers’ recommendations.
"Alirin"
"Gamair" is a means to combat bacteria and fungi. "Alirin-B" is a fungicide against powdery mildew, gray rot, and late blight. The combined use of these drugs is permitted. These two products are used to better protect plants from various diseases. To prepare the solution, the dosage of each drug is adjusted (the norm is reduced).
Other means
The bactericide "Gamair" can be used with the fungicides "Glyokladin" or "Trichotsin". Fungicidal agents are made based on the fungus Trichoderma harzianum. They are designed to treat the soil and protect plants from root rot. Both fungicides can be used together with Gamair.Combined use will enhance the effect of each drug and help fight plant diseases more effectively.
Important! The most complete effect is obtained by the triad, that is, the joint use of drugs such as Alirin-B, Gamair, Glyokladin.
Instructions for use
The biological product can be sprayed on various vegetable and flower crops. Plants are treated 1-3 times per season with an interval of 10-15 days. The bactericide in the form of tablets weighing 0.2 grams can be used in open ground and in greenhouses.
For tomatoes
Table of application of "Gamaira" for tomatoes:
Disease | Conditions of use | Norm
drug (processed area) |
Mode of application | Number of treatments per season (interval) |
Bacterial cancer | Use in greenhouses | 2 tablets per ten liters of water
(per 10 sq. meters) |
Watering the soil 1-3 days before sowing seeds | 1 time |
Gray or white rot, late blight | Spraying in greenhouses | 10 tablets per ten liters of water
(per 100 sq. meters) |
Spraying at the initial stage of budding and during fruit ripening | 3 times (7-14 days) |
Root rot | Outdoor use | 2 tablets per ten liters of water
(per 10 sq. meters) |
Watering the soil 1-3 days before sowing seeds | 1 time |
Alternaria blight,
late blight |
Spraying in open ground | 10 tablets per ten liters of water (per 100 square meters) | Spraying at the stage of budding and fruit ripening | 3 times
(10-14 days) |
The biological product is used for watering the soil or spraying tomatoes. The solution is prepared on the day of use. The tablets first dissolve in a glass of warm water. Then the solution is poured into a sprayer or bucket. Then add the required amount of warm liquid.The solution is kept for 20 minutes to awaken the bacteria, and treatment begins immediately.
It is advisable to spray plants in dry (not rainy) and windless weather.
"Gamair" has contact activity, that is, it does not penetrate plant tissue. In case of rain, the drug is quickly washed off from the leaves. You can extend the period of protective action by adding an adhesive to the solution. Regular shampoo or dishwashing liquid will not work. These detergents contain alkalis that destroy bacteria. You can use Quack-Quack baby shampoo as an adhesive.
For cucumbers

Precautionary measures
The biological product "Gamair" belongs to the 4th class of danger for animals and humans, to the 3rd class - for bees. It is recommended to work with the solution in protective clothing, a mask, and rubber gloves. It is advisable not to irrigate plants during the active summer of bees.
The bactericide solution and tablets must not be taken orally. It is recommended to store the fungicide separately from food. If the drug gets into the stomach, you need to drink several glasses of water with soda and induce vomiting, then take activated carbon tablets. If the solution accidentally gets on the skin, the area of contamination should be washed with soap and water.
Analogs
To protect plants from bacterial and fungal diseases, other biological products with a similar principle of action are used. An analogue of “Gamair” can be considered the fungicidal agent “Alirin-B”. To combat diseases, Glyokladin, Fitosporin, and Baktofit are used.
Reviews
Victor Anatolyevich: “I use Gamair to neutralize soil saline with chemicals. This drug improves the soil and at the same time fights diseases of garden crops. The result of the application is noticeable already during the period of fruit ripening.”
Nina Sergeevna, summer resident: “I use Gamair with Alirin to reduce the concentration of nitrates in cucumbers. These two drugs improve the taste of vegetables and increase yield.”
