Fungicidal treatment of crops and fruit trees is the most important stage of rational agriculture. Fungal colonies multiply quickly, adversely affect plant development and cause crop loss. The popular drug "Skor" and the drug "Horus" are widely used in agriculture and private household plots. The effectiveness of fungicides confronts farmers with a choice, but the drugs have their own characteristics and conditions of use.

Comparison of drugs "Horus" and "Skor"
Fungicides "Skor" and "Horus" have a systemic therapeutic effect, protect plantings from mycoses, creating a stable protective barrier. The composition of the drugs includes substances from different chemical groups, which causes differences in the mechanism of action on fungal agents.
The agents have similar uses, showing activity against pathogens of the following diseases:
- powdery mildew;
- scab;
- Alternaria blight;
- fruit rot;
- Clusterosporiosis;
- coccomycosis.
“Horus” has a weaker effect on the pathogen of powdery mildew, but is effective in the fight against scab, moniliosis and monilial burn. Has a good effect in the early stages of infection.
"Skor" has targeted activity against powdery mildew, scab, spotting and pronounced preventive properties. The drug stimulates the growth of foliage and shoots, accelerating the growth of green mass. The product is also used for pre-planting treatment of seeds.
Both preparations are intended for spraying the following trees and shrubs:
- Apple tree;
- pear;
- cherry, sweet cherry;
- plum, cherry plum;
- peach, apricot;
- grape;
- currant;
- gooseberry.
The drugs also have significant differences that must be taken into account when choosing a treatment agent.

Which one is better to choose?
Which means is better to choose, “Speed” or “Chorus”, depends on a combination of a number of factors.
To determine the appropriate option, you need to consider:
- growing season;
- weather;
- purposes of processing;
- name of the product used for the previous antifungal treatment.
“Chorus” can be used in early spring, when the air temperature is from +3 °C to +10 °C. Early treatment at the green cone stage prevents primary contamination. The drug provides protection even before the flowering period begins.
“Skor” starts working at higher temperatures – from +12 °C. The fungicide is suitable for spraying plants at the budding stage. The peak result is observed in warm and humid weather, when the risk of mycoses increases.
With repeated use of the drug "Skor", there is a risk of developing resistance of pathogenic fungi to difenoconazole. "Chorus" copes with pathogens resistant to the action of substances of the triazole class.
Fungicides can be considered partners. The alternate use of the cold-resistant “Horus” and the “heat-loving” “Skor” in accordance with climatic conditions eliminates the habituation and adaptation of fungal strains to the effects of pesticides from these chemical groups.
