Instructions for use of Teldor fungicide, compatibility and analogues

Fungal diseases often affect plants even if garden crops are cared for according to established rules. In such circumstances, it is recommended to use Teldor, or a fungicide, the instructions for use of which indicate that this product is most effective against white and gray rot. This medication can also be used to prevent infection.

Composition, release form and purpose of Teldor fungicide

Teldor is based on the active ingredient fenhexamide, which destroys various types of fungal infections. This happens due to the fact that this component prevents the development of styrene. Each kilogram of Teldor contains at least 500 grams of fenhexamide.

This remedy is used mainly in cases where treatment of the plant with other fungicides has not produced results.

Teldor is produced in the form of water-soluble granules, packaged in bags weighing 1.5 or kilograms. The product is used to locally suppress the development of fungal pathologies in plants.

How does the product work?

As noted, fenhexamide, on which the fungicide is based, inhibits the synthesis of styrene, on which the nutrition and development of fungal infection cells depends. This happens due to the fact that this substance has an inhibitory effect on C-3 reductase. The latter is part of plant pathogenic cells. This effect prevents the development of fungal mycelium.

In addition, the drug contains substances that form a film on the surface of the plant. This protection prevents the penetration of pathogenic microflora into the plant structure for 1-2 weeks.

Advantages over analogues

Compared to other means of combating fungal diseases, Teldor has the following advantages:

  • suppresses the activity of pathogens even in cases where other fungicides have not helped;
  • provides long-lasting protection against fungal infections;
  • within three hours after spraying, the process of inhibiting the functions of pathogens begins;
  • does not have a negative impact on the environment;
  • allowed to be used simultaneously with other fungicides.

Additionally, using Teldor is straightforward. To treat a plant, simply dilute the product in water and spray the affected crop.

Consumption rates for different crops

When using Teldor, the following drug consumption rates must be observed:

  1. For grapes and cherries. You need to dilute 10 grams of the product in 10 liters of water. Plants should be sprayed 4 times per season, but no later than 15 days before harvest.
  2. For strawberries. You need to take 8 grams of Teldor and dilute it in 5 liters of water. The plant is sprayed once per season, no later than 10 days before picking the berries.

The given application rates are calculated taking into account the treatment of plants on an area of one hundred square meters.

Rules for preparing the working solution

To prepare the solution, you need to fill the prepared container halfway. Then you need to add the fungicide to warm water, following the above standards, and mix thoroughly. After this, you can add the rest of the liquid and start processing the plants.

Crops can be sprayed only within three hours after preparing the solution. It is recommended to carry out work on a clear day.

Instructions for use of fungicide

Spraying plants with Teldor does not cause any significant difficulties. It is recommended to treat crops slowly, trying to apply the solution to the affected leaves and branches. But to increase the effectiveness of the drug, you need to spray the entire plant with the product.

Teldor is recommended for processing:

  • cabbage;
  • tomatoes;
  • peach;
  • grapes;
  • currants;
  • strawberries;
  • ornamental plants;
  • eggplant.

teldor fungicide

Teldor is effective as a prophylactic against the following infections:

  • wet, gray and white rot;
  • anthracnose;
  • brown spot;
  • powdery mildew;
  • coccomycosis;
  • scab.

When processing, it is not recommended to apply a lot of solution to one area. If the product flows down the trunk or leaves, this will reduce the effectiveness of the fungicide. Teldor can be used no more than four times per season. Treatment should be carried out no more often than every 10-15 days, regardless of the degree of fungal damage to the plant.

When using Teldor to treat crops, you should remember that this drug was created to prevent infection. The fungicide is most effective only at the beginning of the development of the disease. Therefore, it is recommended to take other drugs to treat affected plants.

Precautions for use

When using a fungicide to prevent diseases and treat plants, you will have to observe the following precautions:

  • do not process crops in windy weather (wind speed should not exceed 7 m/s);
  • Before each procedure, you should wear goggles, gloves, moisture-resistant clothing and other personal protective equipment;
  • When swallowing the solution, you need to drink the appropriate amount of activated carbon or other sorbent.

If the fungicide comes into contact with mucous membranes, the latter should be washed with water. If necessary, an antihistamine should be taken after this to prevent the development of an allergic reaction. If the solution gets on the skin, the contact area should also be rinsed under water and then treated with a rich cream.

The degree of toxicity of the drug

The active substance of Teldora belongs to the third class of toxicity. This means that the drug does not harm the body of people or animals, but can cause intoxication and a number of other negative consequences.

This product, despite this feature, not only suppresses the activity of fungal microflora, but also increases the shelf life of the fruits of treated plants.

Compatibility with other tools

Teldor can be used simultaneously with other fungicides and insecticides. This is partly due to the fact that this drug was created to prevent fungal infection, and not to treat the plant. However, before the first use, Teldor is recommended to be tested for compatibility with other products.

How to store it correctly?

The prepared solution should be used within three hours. During this time, the effectiveness of the drug decreases. The package of Teldora granules must be stored closed in a dark and dry place away from pets and children.

teldor fungicide

If insects are found in the mixture, the product must be disposed of appropriately. The latter recommendation is due to the fact that contact with certain organisms can change the properties of the drug. Teldor should be stored at a temperature of 35 degrees. Subject to the above recommendations, the shelf life of the drug is 36 months. At the end of this period, the product must also be disposed of.

Fungicide analogues

Instead of Teldor, the following fungicides can be purchased for treating plants:

  1. Rovral. The drug is used mainly for processing vegetables and sunflowers.
  2. Bayleton. It has a wide spectrum of action and is used to prevent various diseases.
  3. Euparen.Recommended for the treatment of plants seriously affected by fungal infection.
  4. Ronilan. Used for processing grapevines.
