Instructions for use of Zelek-Super herbicide and application rates

To control weeds, herbicides are produced that can act selectively, like chemical weeding. Zelek-Super can destroy harmful grass without causing harm to crops; the manufacturer recommends using the herbicide on agricultural lands where there are large areas of crops.

Experience with the use of the drug indicates purification from monocotyledonous weeds by more than 80% for several years. The herbicide is effective on flax, sunflower, rapeseed, soybeans, and sugar beets.

Composition and release form of the herbicide "Zelek-Super"

A product has been developed for the complete elimination of existing types of grass weeds. Its main component is haloxyfop-methyl, the content of which is 10.4 g per 100 ml. “Zelek-Super” is produced in the form of a concentrated emulsion, in 5 liter canisters.

Mechanism of action of the product

Within an hour, the active substance of the herbicide is absorbed by the leaves and moves throughout the plant to the roots and rhizomes. “Zelek-Super” disrupts the photosynthesis of weeds, as a result, the growth of the above-ground mass and root system stops, and chlorosis develops. Plants wither, their tissues dry out, becoming reddish in color.

Advantages over analogues

The advantage of the drug is its effective action against common weeds on cereals and perennials, including:

• creeping wheatgrass (its roots become dust);
• wild oats;
• foxtail;
• cock millet (barnyard grass);
• brooms;
• pigweed;
• white bentgrass;
• common bluegrass.

Just an hour after treatment with the herbicide, the effect of the substance does not decrease even during rainfall. The herbicide prevents the re-growth and reproduction of perennial weeds.

Not only fields are treated with the drug, but also access roads where a lot of grass weeds grow. To achieve maximum effect, it is allowed to combine the product with other herbicides.

One treatment can eliminate rhizome-type pests for 4-6 years, which has a beneficial effect on the development of subsequent crops.

In the middle zone, it is recommended to start working with the herbicide “Zelek-Super” in the second half of April.

In the southern regions, earlier processing is possible.

Range of action and response speed

Damage to all growth points occurs within 40-48 hours. Weedy annual grass finally dies after 8-12 days, perennial grass - 12-17 days. The action of Zeleka-Super lasts throughout the growing season, unless there is a second influx of weeds.

Expense rate

The optimal consumption of “Zelek-Super” is 0.8-1.0 l/ha. Prepare a solution in tank mixtures, dissolve the concentrate in 200-300 liters of water. For annuals - 0.5 l/ha, for perennials - 1 l/ha.

Rules for preparing the working solution

The herbicide “Zelek-Super” is diluted and used immediately on the day of treatment. The suspension is mixed directly in the purchased container. The sprayer tank is filled 1/3 with water, and the product is poured out. Mix using the built-in mixers for 2-3 minutes, then add the rest of the liquid, turn on the mixer again, and start working. If you need more solution, repeat all steps. For 1 hectare of area it is recommended to use 200-300 liters of the finished solution.

Afterwards, the tank is thoroughly rinsed three times, the residues are neutralized.

How to use the product correctly

Treatment is not done after cultivation work, in wet areas, when there is dew, or if precipitation is forecast. It is better to start spraying at temperatures above +10...12 °C, in the morning or evening at a wind speed of 4-5 m/s.

It is recommended to spray with Zelek-Super when the annual weed reaches the 2nd leaf phase, before new shoots begin to form. Perennials should be 10-15 cm tall.

Fodder beets are sprayed if the grass is already 10-15 cm.Fiber flax is treated during the growing season of pest plants, when the flax height is at least 12 cm. You can work with rapeseed regardless of its development phase, when wheatgrass is 10-12 cm. It is treated against annual weeds when pine and spruce are actively growing in nurseries.

Safety precautions when working with herbicide

“Zelek-Super” is prohibited from being used on private farms or by aircraft. A specialist works with the herbicide; protective equipment for the skin, mucous membranes, and respiratory organs is required: a suit, a respirator, goggles, gloves.

Toxicity of the drug

According to the instructions, the herbicide "Zelek-Super" does not harm crops, birds, earthworms, or soil organisms. It belongs to the 2nd class of danger for humans, the 3rd class for honey plants, but is highly toxic to fish, therefore it is strictly forbidden to pollute water bodies with residues of the product.

Compatibility with other pesticides

The drug is allowed to be mixed with similar herbicides for weeds, for example, Lontrel Grand, Galera, and can be combined with insecticides. It is recommended to carry out a test mixing first.

How to store it correctly and for how long

The product should be stored in a ventilated, dry place in its entire package at a temperature not lower than -10 C and not higher than +40 C. Period - 3 years from the date of manufacture.

What can be replaced

Similar means for destroying weeds:

• "Herbitox-L" - active substances dimethylamine, calcium, sodium salts are absorbed by the leaves, act on the root system, suppress the formation of enzymes, and inhibit the processes of photosynthesis. Designed for fiber flax, wheat, peas, rice, barley, millet.
• "Galera-Super" - three active components (clopyramide (267 g/l), picloram (80 g/l) and aminopyramid (17 g/l) block the function of plant hormones, which leads to disruption of their growth and causes death. Effective in winter, spring rapeseed, mustard.
• "Axial" - active ingredients pinoxaden 45 g/l and cloquintoset 11.25 g/l. Available in the form of an emulsion of 5 liters. Penetrates through the leaves and stems of weeds, is distributed inside the tissues, and effectively destroys pests on wheat and barley.
• “Basis” - consists of rimsulfuron 500 g/l, thifensulfurol-methyl 250 g/l. Designed to quickly kill corn plants by blocking the synthesis of essential amino acids.
• "Caribou Gold" - its active substance is trifausulfurol-methyl, granules of 100 g are produced. It acts similarly to "Basis", inhibits the biosynthesis of amino acids. Used in fields with sugar beets.
