- 1.5–2 months before planting, the tubers must undergo a thorough inspection. Gardeners select healthy potatoes that do not contain signs of disease or other mechanical damage. The marketable appearance of the vegetable is taken into account. For planting, select tubers that do not exceed 6 cm in diameter.
- After this, they are distributed into boxes in 3 or 4 rows.
- Containers with vegetables are placed in a bright and warm place so that the potatoes can sprout.
- Tubers are sprayed with copper sulfate to protect them from fungal diseases.

Planting in the soil
The Manifest potato variety is planted in open ground after the soil temperature reaches 8 °C. A person should measure the soil temperature at depth, since the top layer of soil warms up faster. If you plant tubers in cold soil, this will provoke the development of rhizoctonia in potatoes. Also, do not take your time with planting. If the delay exceeds at least one week, the harvest quantity will be reduced by 8–10%.
When the planting material is ready for planting, holes are made in the soil. They should all have the same depth. Following this simple rule will allow a person to get uniform potato sprouts. The soil with which the tubers are planted must be loose. It is also necessary to maintain the same distances between the holes; it is good when the bushes do not need additional space.
Care during cultural development
Manifest, unlike other potato varieties, does not require special care. The procedure is the same for all regions with different climatic features. The care characteristics are as follows:
- cultivation at a deep level, hilling with a bush height of 13 to 18 cm;
- two weeks after hilling, the procedure is repeated;
- weeding and applying herbicides, if necessary;
- if fertilizers were not applied before planting, this is done after weeding;
- watering taking into account weather conditions.
If the tops are closed, cultivating the soil to remove weeds is prohibited. You should not get too carried away with the application of herbicides. To destroy harmful microorganisms, it is enough to treat the soil no more than once every 3 years.
Potatoes are a vegetable crop that has the ability to remove large amounts of nutrients from the soil. This requires a person to constantly add mineral and organic components. To improve plant nutrition, manure is used. At the same time, one important condition is observed - it must be rotted so as not to “burn” the tubers.

Harvesting

Most of the leaves on the crop dry out and this indicates that the fruits can be dug up. First, the tops are mowed, which continues for 2 weeks. During this period, a dense skin is formed on the potato.
Delaying harvesting is not recommended. The more mature potatoes are underground, the more this affects their structure and taste. High temperatures in the summer greatly warm the soil, causing the potatoes to become limp.In this form, the crop cannot be stored for long. It will germinate long before planting in the ground.
You don't have to use a shovel to get root vegetables out of the soil. To do this, just use a pitchfork.
The collected tubers can be immediately packaged without waiting for a new planting in the ground. To do this, choose medium-sized vegetables. It is better to give special preference to plants that stood out during the growth period against the background of other crops. Storage
