Varieties
There are about 70 types of tomatoes for growing in open ground and 40 varieties intended for planting in a greenhouse. When choosing a variety, you need to take into account the size, fleshiness, taste, speed of fruit ripening, and storage features of the harvested crop.
The most famous varieties are hybrids (tomatoes grown from seeds of several species), cherry (resemble a cherry in appearance), raceme, small-fruited (the weight of one tomato is no more than 60 g) and large (weight up to 150 g).
Early varieties that can be purchased at the Evgenia store, Belyi Naliv, Aurora, and Red Sun. Resistant varieties include “Admiral”, “Frant”, “Uragan”. The varieties “Harmony” and “Tsarskoye Selo” will be pleased with high yields.
