The Golden White tomato is one of the best in the large-fruited line. The culture differs from many varieties with similar qualities in its unpretentiousness in care and plasticity. The new product is presented by the agricultural company “Siberian Garden”.
Varietal characteristics
Gilded belyash belongs to the mid-season group of tomatoes. From the emergence of seedlings to the beginning of ripening, 115–120 days pass. Indeterminate, needs pinching and gartering. Recommended for greenhouses, film greenhouses. In the southern regions, tomato is grown in open ground.
4–5 clusters are formed on plants.For greater yield, form into one stem. The largest tomatoes occur in the first and second growth periods.
Description of the Golden White tomato fruit:
- bright yellow;
- average weight 500 g;
- flat-round, smooth;
- the pulp is sweet, dense in consistency;
- The fruits store well.
In favorable conditions, 5–6 kg of fruits are harvested from one bush. The commercial characteristics of the variety are high.
Features of cultivation and agricultural technology
Large-fruited tomato varieties require a lot of light, heat and nutrients. Golden belyash is sown for seedlings no later than the end of February. The day is chosen according to the lunar calendar. The waxing moon has a good effect on the yield of plants that lay fruit in the aboveground part.
Seeds from the manufacturer do not require additional processing or disinfection. If desired, the material is soaked in growth stimulants for several hours. Instead of synthetic substances, you can use natural ones: aloe juice, honey.
Gilded belyash is sown in containers in the standard way. To create greenhouse conditions, polyethylene is stretched over the box. Germination temperature: +23…+25 °C.
After the first pair of leaves appear, the seedlings are planted in separate plastic or peat pots. If necessary, add additional lighting by evenly turning the container with plants towards the light source.
Seedlings are transplanted into the ground at the age of 50–60 days. For 1 sq. m no more than three bushes.
Beneficial features
Yellow tomato varieties are not allergenic. In terms of concentration of substances, they are significantly superior to their “red brothers”. The pulp contains:
- vitamins A, B1, B2, B5, PP, K;
- folic acid (B9), tocopherol (E);
- ascorbic acid;
- minerals: potassium, copper, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, choline and chlorine.
Yellow tomatoes are good for dietary and diabetic nutrition. Improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, normalize the digestion process. The rich vitamin composition helps strengthen hair, improve skin elasticity, and increase visual acuity.
Contraindicated for people suffering from high stomach acidity and peptic ulcers, gastritis, urolithiasis, duodenitis, arthritis.
Cultivation of large-fruited tomatoes
Those who have planted and successfully grown Golden White tomatoes recommend rationing the number of ovaries. Thus, the weight of one fruit can be up to 1 kg. High yields are stimulated by removing the lower leaves from the stem. The procedure is carried out gradually, 1-2 sheets per week. By the time the first cluster ripens, all lower leaves should be removed.
Heavy tomato bunches need good support. In open ground they create additional wind protection. In greenhouses, tomato stems are tied to a vertical trellis.
Special sugary pulp can be achieved by adding sufficient fertilizer. Tomato planting is fertilized in the morning so as not to create excessive moisture. Large-fruited varieties ripen on the bushes for a long time. To speed up the process, water the plants at the root with an iodine solution (3-4 drops per bucket of water).
Reviews from gardeners characterize the Golden White tomato as a variety capable of producing high yields in different growing conditions.
