Tomato variety Raspberry wine f1, described in this article, is suitable for growing both in open ground and in greenhouses. Fruits at the stage of technical maturity have a rich red color and a round shape. The pulp is dense. The weight of one tomato can reach 600 grams, but specimens weighing 250–400 grams are more common. Dry matter content is about 5%. Each fruit has 6 seed chambers. From each bush, up to 9 kg of fruits of excellent quality are collected. Accordingly, the yield per square meter is about 25 kg.

You can find some varieties of the variety that do not differ significantly in their characteristics: Raspberry miracle, Golden Raspberry miracle.

Growing

Raspberry wine is grown using seedlings. Seeds are sown in pre-prepared containers with soil mixture a month before the intended planting in open ground. The containers are placed in a well-lit place. Otherwise, the plants will stretch out, become thin and may subsequently die. A week before the intended planting, the seedlings are hardened off. For this purpose, raspberry wine f1 is taken out into the open air on the first day for a couple of hours, and then the residence time is increased. If there is no threat of frost, you can leave containers with seedlings outside overnight.

Tomatoes are planted in a permanent location when the air temperature at night is at least 15 °C. Raspberry wine is a tall variety, so no more than 4 plants are placed per square meter.

Features of care

It is recommended to form the bush into 2 stems. Reviews from gardeners indicate that plants require staking. When grown in open ground, this measure will help protect the plantings from the wind and prevent the stem from breaking under the weight of the fruit.

The Raspberry wine variety is demanding both in terms of temperature and humidity. In this regard, mandatory regular watering is required. During the period of growth and fruit formation, tomatoes require fertilizing containing potassium and phosphorus. Subsequently, the amount of fertilizer is reduced, and at the end of the season it is completely stopped.

Reviews from gardeners

Raspberry wine tomatoes have already become a favorite not only among curious summer residents, but also among professional farmers. They agreed to share their feedback about this variety with us.

Alexandra Nikolaevna, village resident: “I learned about the Raspberry Wine tomato from a magazine. In the spring I bought seeds at the store and decided to experiment. I followed all the recommendations given in the magazine. I must admit, the harvest was pleasantly surprising. The fruits I collected were large, sweet, and beautiful. It’s a pity that we couldn’t preserve it entirely: the jars didn’t fit in the neck.”

Eduard Vasilyevich, summer resident: “My daughter brought Raspberry Wine tomato seedlings to our dacha. She said that the variety is good, but it needs to be properly cared for. They planted them in the sunniest place and watered them almost every day. Three months later we enjoyed our first tomatoes.Their taste and appearance were at the highest level, the efforts were not in vain. Next season I will definitely buy seeds and grow this variety again.”

Irina Vladimirovna, summer resident: “I bought tomato seeds and raspberry wine in the store by accident. The title was very interesting. I learned that the variety needs lighting and watering already when the bushes began to bear fruit. The tomatoes had enough sun, but I didn’t have the opportunity to water them often because I work. Naturally, this affected the quality of the harvest. Overall, the variety is good, but due to the lack of time for care, the result was a little disappointing.”
