The variety is famous for its high winter hardiness and is widely grown in the middle and southern zones in the garden. Residents of the North are better off planting plants in greenhouse conditions. Pollen lasts 2-3 weeks, falls in mid-spring, and daffodil stands well when cut. Its height is 35-45 cm.

Erlicheer breeding history

The Erlischer variety of daffodils has been known since 1934 and was bred by breeders from France. The variety has become popular in the countries of the former USSR since the 1950s.

Growing

Narcissus Erlichir is grown in the same way as its other varieties. The flower does not imply any special agrotechnical features.

Daffodils should be planted in late August or early September. It is important that the weather is dry, otherwise the young rhizomes may rot.

1.5 months before planting, the area is prepared. It is necessary to dig up the soil to a depth of 30 cm, add compost, 10 kg per 1 square meter, complex mineral fertilizer, or independently combine nitrogen - 20 g per 1 square meter, phosphorus - 20 g per 1 square meter.

After planting the bulbs, the ground is immediately mulched with peat, humus, and a layer of 3 centimeters. When cold weather sets in, cover the daffodils with fallen leaves and straw 20 cm high. In the spring, the cover is removed and the mulch is left.

You should buy daffodil bulbs from trusted sellers at the market or in nurseries. They must be strong, healthy looking and free of signs of disease or beetle attacks. Take bulbs with a diameter of 3-4 cm.

Planting material should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. At home, place them in the refrigerator on the bottom shelf or glazed, insulated balcony.

You should not store the bulbs in plastic bags; they can rot and become damp. You can plant them together with the container in the ground.

Planting scheme

2. Preference should be given to sunny or slightly shaded places, sheltered from drafts.
3. On heavy soils, the bulbs should be buried 5 cm when planting. When planting in light soils, the depth should be no more than 15 cm, or the daffodils will not bloom and the buds will wither without fluffing.
4. The distance between rows should be 20-30 cm, between bulbs - 15-20 cm.

After 10 days, level the top layer of soil over the plantings, sprinkle with leaf humus or peat in a 5 cm layer.

Rules of care

Daffodils should be cared for by watering, weeding, and fertilizing. Periodically, plants are treated with agents against diseases, beetles - with insecticides and fungicides.

Loosening and weeding

It is necessary to loosen daffodils 3-4 times a month. The procedure helps get rid of weeds, improves soil aeration, and reduces the process of moisture evaporation. Weed the soil carefully, using a shovel on the floor.

Watering

Erlichir daffodils love moisture; its lack has a negative effect on pollen. Plants need to be watered 2 times a week, depending on precipitation and soil conditions.Irrigation should also be carried out after pollen, until they completely wither.

Protection from pests and diseases

Daffodils are sometimes attacked by fusarium, rot, flies, tuberous or onion hoverflies, onion mites, slugs, and nematodes. In the form of preventive and therapeutic measures, double processing of flowers is used.

2. At the end of flowering, the plants are treated with a solution of copper sulfate in the ratio of 100 g of the substance per 10 liters of water, using 2 liters of the working composition per 10 square meters. During budding, additional potassium-phosphorus fertilizer is added at a ratio of 2:1. Take 30 g per 1 square meter of plot with flowers. After flowering, use superphosphate and potassium nitrate in a ratio of 1:2, 20 g per 1 square meter. The procedure stimulates the formation of flowers in the bulbs.

Reproduction

Daffodils are usually propagated by children after digging. You can also use the seed method. After pollen, if the inflorescence is not removed, a fruit is formed in it. It produces seeds when ripe.
