Complex fertilizers containing microelements are popular because they make it possible to provide plants with many of the nutrients they need at once. Let's consider the description and composition of Plantafol, the spectrum and principle of operation, and rules of application. What fertilizer can be combined with, storage conditions and time, substitute preparations.
Composition and description of the drug
Plantafol is a series of fertilizers produced by the Spanish company Valagro.There are 4 types of agricultural products available, they contain nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium in different ratios:
- "Plantafol" 5:15:45;
- "Plantafol" 10:54:10;
- "Plantafol" 20:20:20;
- "Plantafol" 30:10:10.
All types contain microelements: iron 0.1%, boron 0.02%, molybdenum 0.005%, manganese, copper and zinc 0.05% each. "Plantafol" 5:15:45 and "Plantafol" 30:10:10 also contain sulfur in the amount of 12% and 3.5%. Does not contain sodium and chlorine. Nitrogen in the composition is in amide form.
Spectrum and principle of operation
The fertilizer is intended for foliar feeding of all cultivated plants. Nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus are the main nutritional elements, which in any variety of Plantafol are present in sufficient quantities to allow the fertilizer to be used as the main one. Microelements in the composition are in the form of chelates, so they are quickly absorbed.
The action of all “Plantafols” is to stimulate plant processes and metabolism at certain stages of plant development. The effect of the drugs is not affected by climate conditions, soil, variety and variety of crop.
When using Plantafol 5:15:45 to feed potatoes after flowering, the quality of the tubers improves and their starch content increases. The high phosphorus content in Plantafol 10:54:10 helps stimulate the growth of generative parts of plants, flowering and setting. It is recommended to use such fertilizing in the initial stages of growth, before and during flowering, and also when it is necessary to stop the development of vegetative organs.
"Plantafol" 20:20:20 in an amount of 1-1.5 kg/ha mixed with herbicide reduces the stressful effect of the pesticide on potatoes."Plantafol" 30:10:10 is intended to accelerate the development of plants at the stage when it is necessary to lengthen shoots and develop foliage.
Rules for using "Plantafol"
The instructions for use indicate that all crops should be fed with fertilizer at the same dosage - 0.5-2 kg per hectare. It needs to be diluted 1-3 times per season for foliar feeding, spending 150-1000 liters per hectare.
Foliar feeding with mineral complex fertilizer supplements root, basic nutrition, helps to correct the development of plants during critical periods of the growing season, when they may feel a lack of any element or when their needs for microelements increase at certain stages of growth. It is useful to fertilize the leaves during periods when weather conditions are unfavorable and the absorption of nutrients by the roots is difficult (after frost, waterlogging, overdrying, heat, overheating of the soil, alkalization of the soil).
Security measures
All types of Plantafol are non-toxic to humans, animals, insects, soil and plants themselves. When working with them, that is, preparing a solution and spraying plants, you need to wear gloves, goggles and a simple respirator. More serious means of protection are not needed.
After finishing spraying, it is enough to wash your hands and face with soap. Wash the areas on the body where the liquid got in with water and rinse your eyes. Poisoning from fertilizers is rare; if symptoms of intoxication occur, you need to do a simple gastric lavage.
What is compatible with
Microelements in chelated form are stable in an acid-base environment, at different pH levels. Fertilizers can be mixed with most pesticides. When mixed, the effectiveness of the drugs does not decrease.
Storage conditions
The shelf life established by the manufacturer is 5 years. Doesn't stick. During this time, fertilizers should be stored in warehouses with a temperature of 0 to 40 C, in a dark and dry room. No moisture should get into the preparation; protect from direct sunlight. Store the product in its original industrial packaging, intact, undamaged, and closed with lids. Do not keep feed, food, medicines, or household chemicals near fertilizers.
Analogs of fertilizing
Substitutes for Plantafol include complex fertilizers with microelements in chelated form. Many agrochemical enterprises produce such fertilizers, for example, “Master”, “Brexil”, “Vigro”, “Novalon”, “EcoPlant”, “Tetra Planta Pro” and others. They can be used both in agriculture and in private gardens and vegetable gardens.
"Plantafol" is one of the popular complex fertilizers. It can be used as a main ingredient because it contains not only all nutrients, but also important microelements, in the proportions that plants require. The drug dissolves well in water, does not leave sediment, so it can be sprayed with sprayers, the nozzles will not clog. Plantafol contains an adhesive that makes it easier to apply and hold the solution on the leaves. The solution does not leave a coating of salt on the leaves and does not make breathing difficult.
The fertilizer solution, due to its low electrical conductivity, is better absorbed through the leaves into the tissue, and is therefore more fully absorbed. This makes Plantafol economical to use. The drug is also beneficial in the sense that it increases plant productivity, which justifies the cost of purchase. Growing plants fed with this fertilizer becomes more profitable for both agricultural enterprises and private vegetable growers.
