Folicur is a systemic fungicide that is used to protect grain crops, grapes, and rapeseed from the main types of fungal diseases. The drug is distinguished by growth-regulating and productivity-increasing properties. Used for spraying crops during the growing season. Penetrates inside plants in just a couple of hours. Work on spraying crops is carried out in dry, windless weather.

Release form, composition and purpose of the fungicide
Fungicide Folikur is a chemical preparation of systemic properties from the German company Bayer. Available in the form of an emulsion concentrate (oil in water), which is bottled in 5-liter canisters. It is used to protect grains, grapes and rapeseed from various fungal diseases.
The active substance is tebuconazole, which belongs to the class of triazoles. The drug is active against septoria, rust, powdery mildew, oidium, rot, spotting, mold, fusarium, fomoz. Can be used to improve growth and increase germination of rapeseed.
The fungicide is diluted with water in the proportion specified in the instructions and used for spraying crops during the growing season.
Mechanism of action of the drug
The fungicidal agent is absorbed by the vegetative organs of the plant over several hours and is evenly distributed throughout all organs and tissues. The active substance - tebuconazole - inhibits an enzyme that affects the biosynthesis of sterols, as a result of which the integrity of fungal cells is disrupted. The fungicide slows down the growth and development of the pathogen, and ultimately leads to the death of the fungus.
Advantages and disadvantages of the product
Benefits of using Folicur:
- reduces the incidence of crop diseases;
- increases rapeseed yield;
- increases winter hardiness of winter crops;
- reduces lodging of grains;
- penetrates into plants 2-4 hours after spraying;
- has a protective effect for 2-4 weeks.
Minuses:
- when the same active substance is used repeatedly, fungi develop resistance;
- effective only in the early stages of fungal infection.
Consumption rate
Folikur fungicide is used in the following dosages (at a working fluid consumption rate of 200-400 l/ha):
- for grains - 0.5-1 l/ha;
- for rapeseed - 0.5-0.75-1 l/ha;
- for grapes - 0.4 l/ha.
Preparation of working solution
The fungicide is used in large farms growing cereals and rapeseed for commercial purposes. The required quantity of the drug is poured into the tank of the unit for fine-drop spraying, filled 1/3 with clean water. The mixture is stirred until smooth, after which the remaining liquid is added.
Plants are sprayed on the day the solution is prepared.
Instructions for use
The fungicidal solution is used:
- For cereals. During the growing season, 2 treatments are carried out: from the beginning of tillering to the end of heading. Interval - 30 days.
- For rapeseed. During the growing season (at the time 3-5 leaves appear). One treatment is carried out per season. The period from the last spraying to harvest is 50 days.
- For grapes. 3 sprayings are carried out per season. The first is before flowering. Interval - 20 days. The last spraying is carried out 30 days before harvest.
Safety precautions when working with the drug
When processing crops, you need to wear a protective suit, mask or respirator, rubber boots and gloves. While spraying, you should not talk, smoke, or eat. After field work, you need to wash your face and hands with warm water and soap, and rinse your mouth with a soda solution. It is forbidden to inhale solution vapors or drink concentrated emulsion.
Degree of toxicity
The drug belongs to hazard class 3. It is not dangerous for people, animals, birds, beneficial insects. At the recommended dosage it is not toxic to the treated plants.It is not recommended to use during the summer of bees.
Compatibility with other tools
The fungicidal agent can be used in conjunction with other plant protection products. The drug is compatible with insecticides, fungicides, liquid fertilizers, and various herbicides.
Before use, all products must be checked for miscibility.
Storage conditions
The emulsion concentrate in its original packaging can be stored for 3-4 years from the date of manufacture. The chemical should be kept separate from food, out of the reach of children. The optimal storage temperature is 15-20 degrees above zero. The drug should be stored indoors, protected from moisture and direct sunlight.
Analogs
The fungicidal agent Folikur has a number of analogues with a similar composition. For example, the drug Unikal is a concentrated suspension based on tebuconazole. Used for processing rapeseed and grains. Protects crops from powdery mildew, rust, fusarium, rot, and spotting. The drug is sold in 5 liter plastic canisters.
