Systemic fungicide Baizafon protects plants from a wide range of fungi. The drug in powder form must be dissolved in water before use. The fungicide is used to protect and treat plants (cereals, vegetables, melons, fruits) at the initial stage of infection. After treatment with a fungicidal solution, the phytopathogen dies within 24 hours.

Composition, release form and purpose of the product

Baizafon is a contact-systemic fungicidal agent that is used to protect and treat plants from a wide range of pathogens of fungal diseases. The drug is effective at the early stage of infection. The fungicide can be used for protecting grapes from oidium and gray rot. Baizafon is used for the prevention and treatment of vegetable, melon, fruit and grain crops against powdery mildew, rust, septoria, spotting.

The fungicide contains the active substance triadimefon. This component acts on fungi that are resistant to phenylamides and benzimidazoles. Baizafon is available in powder form, packaged in plastic bags weighing 1 kilogram.

A solution is prepared for treating plants. Water is mixed with the powder in the proportion specified in the instructions. The solution is sprayed on plants during the growing season. The active substance penetrates the plant through the leaves and roots and suppresses the development of pathogens.

How does the fungicide work?

The active substance, triadimefon, affects the synthesis of ergosterol and prevents the formation of pathogen cell membranes. When used prophylactically, it stops the penetration of infection into the plant. At the initial stage of infection, the fungicide suppresses the development of fungi, spores and mycelium. The death of the pathogen inside the leaf occurs several hours after treatment with the drug.

The active substance prevents the germination of conidia on the surface of the leaf, slows down the growth of mycelium, and prevents the formation of spores. The period of protective action is 1-2 weeks and depends on weather conditions and the degree of infection. Baizafon has a preventive, therapeutic and antisporulant effect.

Dosage of the product for different types of crops

Rules for using the fungicide:

1. For grapes. Used against oidium, gray rot. Treatment is carried out before and after flowering. The interval between spraying is 10-15 days. For 10 liters of water you need 3 grams of the drug.
2. For tomatoes and cucumbers. From powdery mildew. Spraying is carried out before and after flowering. For 10 liters of liquid take 5-6 grams of the drug.
3. For watermelons and melons. From powdery mildew. Fungicide consumption is 3-5 grams per 10 liters of liquid.
4. For apple, raspberry, peach and plum trees. From scab, powdery mildew, fruit rot, hole spot, monilial burn. The fungicide consumption rate is 2-5 grams per 10 liters of liquid.

How to prepare a working solution

The fungicidal mixture must be prepared in a plastic bucket or canister. To prepare the solution, do not use water with organic impurities and mineral particles. The powder is poured into the liquid, after which the mixture is stirred for 15 minutes.

During processing, the solution must be stirred from time to time so that it is constantly homogeneous.

The working mixture is prepared only on the day of spraying the plants. For 10 liters of liquid take 2-10 grams of the drug (per one hundred square meters).

Further use of the finished solution

Use a sprayer to irrigate the plants with the solution prepared according to the instructions. It is recommended to carry out the treatment in dry and windless weather, in the morning or evening, in the absence of rising air currents.

Affected plants are sprayed at the initial stage of the disease, but not during the flowering period. During the season, crops can be processed 1-4 times. An interval of 15-25 days is maintained between sprayings. The last treatment is carried out 20-30 days before harvest.

Safety precautions for use

Fungicide Baizafon belongs to hazard class 3. When working with the drug, you need to wear a protective suit, mask and rubber gloves. Pregnant women, children under 18 years of age and persons with medical contraindications are not allowed to work.

While processing plants, you should not drink, smoke, or eat.

After working with the drug, you need to wash your hands and face with warm water and soap, and rinse your mouth with a soda solution.

Degree of toxicity

Baizafon belongs to hazard class 3 drugs. This is a moderately dangerous compound. You need to work with it in a respirator. Vapors from the working solution must not be inhaled. The prepared mixture must not be taken orally. In case of poisoning, you need to induce vomiting and rinse the stomach with soda solution. The drug exhibits an insecticidal effect against the larvae of leaf beetles that eat the treated foliage.

Possibility and risks of resistance emergence

Baizafon has a protective and healing effect. One treatment is enough to stop the development of infection. Strains of cereal powdery mildew pathogens that are sufficiently resistant to triadimefon have been discovered.

Compatibility

Bayzafon is compatible with some pesticides.The drug can be used with other effective fungicides, insecticides and acaricides for complex treatment of plants.

Storage rules

The fungicide should be stored in its original sealed packaging at a temperature of 0 to 25 degrees above zero. The storage room must be protected from moisture and sunlight. It is recommended to keep the drug out of the reach of children. The fungicide must be used within 3 years from the date of manufacture.
