The herbicide Galigan contains an active substance - oxyfluorfen. The drug is produced in the form of a concentrated emulsion. Manufacturer: Israeli company Adama Rus. The herbicide is sold in 5.10 liter plastic canisters. Before use, the drug is diluted with water in the proportions specified in the instructions.
How does the drug work?
The active substance (oxyfluorfen) penetrates through the leaves and roots into the weeds. This drug requires sunlight to be depressant. The herbicide begins to act within 3-4 hours after spraying: it disrupts the chemical processes in the cells, stops the development and growth of the plant.
The first signs of damage (chlorosis, necrosis) and the action of the herbicide can be noticed on day 3-4. The weeds die completely after 1-2 weeks.

How to prepare the working mixture?

How to properly use Galigan herbicide?

The herbicide should not be used if the main crop is under stress due to drought, frost, lack of nutrients, disease, or insect damage. Treatment is not carried out in the morning and evening hours, when the plants are wet from dew.
On sunflower crops, Galigan is used before the emergence of the main crop. Plantings of onions and garlic can be sprayed in the early (in the phase of 2-4 leaves) periods of development of these vegetables. The herbicide is used to control weeds that are in the active growth stage (in the phase of 2 to 8 true leaves).
Safety rules for use
Field work on spraying with the Galigan pesticide is recommended to be carried out in a protective suit, mask or respirator, rubber boots and mittens. Persons over 18 years of age who do not have medical contraindications are allowed to process the field. After working with the herbicide, you need to wash your face and hands well with soap and water, and rinse your mouth with a soda solution.
