Today there is a huge list of fungicides. Some are intended for the prevention and treatment of diseases, others are for treating seeds of various plants. Treating allows you to obtain healthy seedlings and prevent the development of diseases on young, immature seedlings. The use of the Deposit disinfectant allows you to obtain an increased yield of legumes and potatoes.
Preparative form and active ingredients
A complex multicomponent fungicide for seed treatment is produced by Shchelkovo-Agrokhim JSC, a well-known domestic manufacturer of plant protection chemicals and microfertilizers. The company is well known to farmers and specialists of agricultural holdings. Small fertilizer tablets produced by the company can contain all the substances a plant needs.
Fungicide "Deposit" consists of the following active substances:
- fludioxanil – 40 grams per liter;
- imazalil – 40 grams per liter;
- metalaxyl - 30 grams per liter.
The drug is used to treat seeds of peas, soybeans, chickpeas and potato tubers.
Mechanism of action of the drug "Deposit"
The Deposit disinfectant contains a complex of active substances that successfully complement each other, enhancing the effectiveness of the drug.
- Fludioxanil - protects the root growth zone from fungal infection without penetrating into the inner layers of plant parts.
- Imazalil - protects the root system of the plant from infections.
- Metalaxyl - is able to disinfect seeds from the outside and inside; absorbed by the root system and transferred to the stems and leaves of plants.
The product not only protects the seed material, it disinfects the surrounding soil after sowing legumes. The fungicide eliminates fungal and bacterial infections and ensures the development of a healthy root system.
Purposes of using a fungicide
The seeds are treated to protect them from rot and mold. Treatment allows you to protect them and sprouts from:
- various types of root rot;
- ascochyta;
- cercospora;
- molding of seed material;
- fusarium.
You can treat it any day, a month before planting or before sowing. Treatment makes it possible to ensure uniform seedlings, eliminate diseases or postpone their development to a later date, when the grown plants are already able to resist infections.
Consumption rate and application
The drug must be used and consumed strictly according to the manufacturer’s instructions. It is not allowed to exceed the dosage of the product, increase the concentration of the working solution, or repeat treatments.
The seeds are treated not with a concentrate, but with a working solution. To prepare it, mix the required amount of fungicide concentrate with water with continuous stirring. Prepared on the day of seed treatment. The product can be combined with the growth stimulator “Biostream Start”, insecticides “Pro Ks”, “Imidor”.

Seeds are treated no more than once. Subject to the conditions of use recommended by the manufacturer, the drug is not phytotoxic.
Safety precautions for use
The work is carried out by specialists who have access and are provided with special clothing and protective equipment. Preparation of working solutions and processing of planting material is carried out at special sites. Seed processing is carried out in treatment machines.When preparing the working solution and processing seeds, you should wear a respirator, rubber gloves, and goggles. Wear protective clothing with long sleeves and cover your hair with a cap.
Important: after working with soap, wash exposed areas of the body.
The fungicide belongs to hazard class 3 (moderate toxicity). It is non-toxic, when used correctly, to fish and bees. Does not cause resistance.
Storage conditions of the drug
The Deposit disinfectant is stored for no more than 2 years from the date of manufacture. For storage, special rooms are used that cannot be entered by strangers, children or animals. The drug must be in the original packaging with a tightly screwed cap, and contain information about the name of the product, purpose and method of use. It can withstand temperatures from -10 to +30 °C.
Substitutes
“Maxim KS”, “Protect” are also used for treating legume seeds, but these are not complete analogues of “Deposit”.
