For fungal diseases of vegetable crops and grapes, various pesticides are used that destroy fungi and their spores. Let's consider the purpose and mechanism of action of "Rapid Gold", its use in agriculture in accordance with the instructions for use. Is it compatible with other drugs, what means can replace it when treating industrial and private plantings of crops.
Active substance and formulation
This fungicide contains 2 substances - mancozeb and cymoxanil in the amount of 640 g and 80 g per liter. The manufacturer, Agrorus and Co. LLC, produces the drug in powder form, packaged in 10 kg bags. According to the method of penetration, Rapid Gold is classified as a contact and systemic pesticide and has a protective and healing effect.
Operating principle and purposes of use
"Rapid Gold" is a 2-component fungicide designed to protect tomatoes and potatoes from late blight and alternaria infection. Can be used to treat grapevines against mildew.
Mancozeb as a substance does not have fungicidal properties, but after dissolution in water and under the influence of sunlight it is converted into 2 substances that have a negative effect on the biochemical processes in fungal cells. Energy metabolism and ATP production are disrupted, as a result the formation of spores and the spread of fungi are stopped.
Cymoxanil, after penetrating into the leaves and stems, is distributed in them from bottom to top, which compensates for the uneven distribution of the solution during application. The therapeutic effect is possible 1-2 days after infection; the substance inhibits the development of the disease by blocking infected plant cells.
Consumption rate
The application rate for all crops is 1.5 liters per hectare. All plants are treated 2 times per season, while 40 liters of solution per hectare are used for potatoes, 40-60 liters per hectare for tomatoes and 80-100 liters per hectare for grapes.
Instructions for use of the fungicide "Rapid Gold"
Potatoes and tomatoes growing in open ground are sprayed against late blight and alternaria, and grapes are sprayed against mildew. The treatment is carried out during the growing season, the latter should be at least 3 weeks before harvesting tomatoes and potatoes and at least 30 days before harvesting grapes. The period of protective action of Rapid Gold is 7-12 days. The effect of the drug is fast - it begins to work immediately after application to the leaves.
Safety precautions
When working with moderately hazardous substances, be sure to wear thick clothing that covers the entire body and high shoes. You must use a respirator or gas mask, goggles that cover your eyes on all sides, and rubber gloves. While spraying is in progress, you must not take off your respirator, gloves, eat, drink or smoke.
After work, clothing and personal equipment must be cleaned of dust and washed in a neutralizing liquid (3-5% soda solution). Then rinse in clean water and dry. Wipe the gas mask with soap and soda solution, rinse with water and also dry. Wash your face and hands with soap. If the fungicide gets on the skin or mucous membranes, rinse them with water for 15 minutes.
Phytotoxicity
When used in the recommended dosage, it is not phytotoxic. It is effective against fungi that are resistant to phenylamide-based products; pathogens do not become accustomed to the fungicide. Does not injure plant tissues and does not interfere with the development of plant leaves. Once in the soil, it quickly decomposes in it.
Hazard class for humans and bees
"Rapid Gold" belongs to products with a hazard class for people 2, for beneficial insects and bees - 3. This means that it can be used near apiaries without fear of poisoning insects.
Compatibility
Rapid Gold combines well with many pesticides, so they can be used together. If there are doubts about the compatibility of pesticides, it is necessary to conduct a test before starting work - take a small amount of both substances and mix in a separate container. If no changes are observed, then the products are suitable for joint use.
How to store?
"Rapid Gold" is stored for 3 years if kept in tightly closed original packaging. Keep the product in a dark, dry room, in an unlit place, so that it is not exposed to sunlight. The fungicide is stored away from children and animals. After the storage time has expired, the packaging must be disposed of; the effectiveness of the expired drug is low.
Analogues of the drug
You can replace "Rapid Gold" with fungicides that contain mancozeb - these are "Acrobat MC", "Acidan", "Viscount", "Gimnast", "Ditan M-45", "Indophil I-45", "Manzat" , “Mankodim”, “Mancozeb”, “Manfil”, “Metaxil”, “Metamil MC”, “Ordan MC”, “Pennkozeb”, “Rapid Gold Plus”, “Rapid Mix” and “Ridomid Gold”. Analogs for cymoxanide are “Kurzat R”, “Mixanil”, “Moximate”, “Ordan”, “Tanos”, “Tanoshans”, “Ulys”, “Famox”.
"Rapid Gold" is used to treat tomatoes, grapevines and potatoes against common fungal diseases. It has a low cost, which, combined with high efficiency, makes its acquisition and use economical. It can be used in large farms over large areas and in private gardens and vegetable gardens in small areas. Low toxicity for people; when used in acceptable doses, it does not cause poisoning of plants, people, animals, insects, or soil.It is permissible to use a fungicide throughout the entire growing season of plants; it has both a therapeutic and infection-preventing effect.
