How it works and what the drug is used for
"Butizan Star" destroys 1-year-old cereal weeds and 2-year-old weeds on rapeseed crops. Metazachlor disrupts the physiological processes in the roots, penetrating into weed seeds and blocking their germination. The first signs of oppression appear in the inhibition of root growth, which is why the seedlings die before they appear above the ground. Even if the weeds germinate, the seedlings become weak and die in 3-7 days. When Butizan Star is applied, after germination they change color and then die.
Instructions for use of Butizan Star
When treating before germination, the herbicide is applied 4 days after sowing rapeseed, during the period when weed germination occurs. The volume of the drug at the recommended consumption rate does not negatively affect rapeseed seedlings. The effectiveness of the drug is 100%.
When applying Butizan Star post-emergence, the application rate is 2.5 liters per hectare. On fields with well-cultivated soil that does not have lumps or plant residues, the application rate can be reduced to 1.75-2 liters per hectare. On heavy soils with a high humus content, the maximum dose should be used. 200-300 liters of finished solution are consumed per 1 ha. To obtain a lasting effect, it is enough to carry out 1 treatment of rapeseed.
Spraying with a herbicide can be carried out before sowing rapeseed, after sowing, until the crop shoots appear.Or when the rapeseed has 2 true leaves, and the weeds are in the early stages of development.
Safety in use
To work with Butizan Star, you must wear protective clothing that covers all exposed parts of the body, gloves, goggles and a respirator. Do not remove them during the entire period of work. If the solution gets on your skin, wash it off with clean warm water. In case of contact with eyes or mouth, also rinse them with water. If ingested, drink water, swallow several tablets of activated carbon in a volume of 1 g per 1 kg of weight and induce vomiting after a few minutes. If the poisoning is severe, consult a doctor immediately.
Compatibility with other substances
The herbicide combines well in mixtures with other herbicides, as well as with fungicides and insecticides. Since this is a new drug, compatibility must be checked in each case, if information about this is not indicated in the instructions.
Storage conditions and periods
“Butizan Star” is stored for 2 years after release from production. During storage, it should be kept in the original canister with a tightly closed lid. It is recommended to store the drug in warehouses for agricultural products. You can store pesticides and fertilizers next to it, but you cannot place food, medicine, or pet food.
After expiration of the shelf life, the drug should be disposed of as its effectiveness decreases. Store the herbicide solution for only 1 day. Pour the remaining liquid onto soil unsuitable for growing plants.
