- morpholinium acetate – protects against pathogenic microorganisms;
- triazole – destroys bacteria, fungi;
- polylenoxide - quickly heals wounds.
What is Lozeval used for?
The medication is used to treat viral, fungal, and colds. Farm birds more often develop parainfluenza, bronchitis, otitis, and mastitis. In all cases, poultry farmers give their birds “Lozeval”. The medicine is effective in the treatment of inflammatory processes and gynecological diseases. The medication is used during surgery.
Veterinarians recommend adding medication to bird feed as a preventive measure. The product is also suitable for strengthening the immunity of small chicks.
Instructions for use of the drug for pigeons
Pigeons, more than other birds, are at risk of contracting infection or other diseases. This is due to the fact that they come into contact with wild relatives. The method of treatment and dosage of Lozeval depend on the type of disease:
- Viral diseases. To treat pigeons, add 0.1 milliliter of the drug to food 2 times a day. The duration of treatment is 5 days.
- Bacterial infections. Follow the same dosage as for viral infections.
- Respiratory diseases. The dovecote is treated with a prepared solution of 1.5-2 milliliters of the drug per 1 liter of water.The liquid is used to irrigate the walls and floors of the poultry house for 3 days. “Lozeval” is also added to the drinking bowl at the rate of 1 milliliter per 10 kilograms of the pet’s weight.
- Skin diseases, wounds. Treat the affected areas with undiluted preparation 2-3 times a day.
- Prevention of diseases. Treat the dovecote with a solution of water; dosage – 1 milliliter of “Lozeval” per 1 liter of water. This volume is enough to spray the product onto 1 square meter of poultry house.
Possible side effects
If the dosages were followed, no side effects were found after using Lozeval. In case of an overdose of the drug, birds may experience muscle weakness and diarrhea. In rare cases, allergic reactions with characteristic itching and hyperemia occur.
The drug has a low level of toxicity and is therefore safe for birds. The active components do not accumulate in tissues, but are quickly eliminated from the body.
Contraindications
The medication "Lozeval" has no contraindications. It is allowed to use the product for any species of animals, fish, birds, including pigeons.
Storage rules and periods
“Lozeval” is stored in a dark place at a temperature of -10...+40 degrees. At low thermometer readings, the liquid form of the drug thickens, but this does not affect its effectiveness. The room in which the medicine is stored must be well ventilated and inaccessible to children and animals. Shelf life – 3 years from the date of manufacture.
