To get friendly, strong shoots, and then a good harvest, you need high-quality seeds. They are often damaged by insects during storage, and even after germination and planting, at first they need protection from pests. The use of Kaiser disinfectant allows you to keep the seed fund intact and preserve fragile sprouts.
Composition and release form of enteric-contact insecticide
"Kaiser" is a modern agrochemical preparation for seed treatment.This systemic pesticide belongs to the neonicotinoid chemical class and is available on the consumer market as a concentrated suspension.
The active ingredient of the insecticide is thiomethoxane (actara) at a dosage of 350 grams/liter. The product is produced in polymer canisters with a capacity of 5 liters. Each package of the drug has a label containing information about the name, manufacturer and instructions for use. If you strictly follow the manufacturer's recommendations, the Kaiser disinfectant is absolutely safe to use.
How the product works
The agrochemical preparation belongs to the group of pesticides, insecticides and has contact, intestinal and systemic effects. It penetrates the tissues of crops, making them deadly to pests.
At the same time, the product is the safest for personnel working with it, has moderate toxicity and destroys not only seed pests, but also insects living in the soil and on its surface, providing plants with protection during the growing season.
Purpose of the drug
“Kaiser” is used for processing potato tubers; it is used to treat rapeseed, grain, sunflower, and sugar beet seeds. The product has advantages over similar drugs:
- economical, provides minimal pesticide load with high efficiency;
- affordable price;
- the ability to process seeds in advance (up to 1 year);
- effectiveness at high temperatures in arid areas;
- gives plants protection from various types of insects.
The suspension evenly covers the seeds and remains on them for a long time. The substance has moderate toxicity to humans and belongs to hazard class 3. It must be taken into account that it is highly toxic (hazard class 1) for bees.
Consumption rates and application
The drug protects seeds during storage and seedlings for 7-8 weeks after germination.
Consumption of concentrated disinfectant (liter/ton) | Processed seed material | What insects does it protect against? | Type of treatment, amount of working solution in liters per ton. |
0,2-0,22 | Potato tubers | Colorado potato beetle, false wireworm, wireworm | 10 |
From 8 to 14 | Sugar beet seeds | Different varieties of insects | 15 |
From 6 to 9 | Corn | Flea beetles, stem flies, false wireworms, wireworms | 10 |
From 8 to 10 | Mustards, rapeseed | Cruciferous flea beetle | 15 |
From 8 to 10 | sunflower | Wireworm and false wireworm | 15 |
0,5-1 | Wheat, barley | Leafhoppers, ground beetles, flea beetles, aphids, stem flies | 10 |
0,5 | Wheat | Bread ground beetle | 10 |
Seed material is treated in advance (up to 1 year) or before planting. A single treatment is sufficient. Insects have not developed resistance to thiomethoxane, this provides Kaiser with high effectiveness against pests.
Precautionary measures
Seed processing is carried out in treatment machines installed on specially equipped sites. Such places are located away from residential and agricultural buildings. The areas are poured with concrete or paved with asphalt for easy cleaning. Strangers, children, pets and farm animals are not allowed on them.
To prepare the working solution, fill the container with water (1/3 of the required volume), pour in a concentrated suspension, and then adjust the amount of water to the required volume. During cooking, the mixture is thoroughly mixed.
Important: all work with the disinfectant is carried out by personnel who have been trained and have the appropriate permit. Employees are provided with protective suits, shoes, rubber gloves and safety glasses. After carrying out work, it is necessary to wash exposed areas of the body. During seed treatment, smoking and eating are prohibited.
The convenient formulation reduces the risk of the product getting into exposed areas of the body and the possibility of damage to the respiratory tract. It does not generate dust, like dry analogues, and does not settle on surfaces. Excellent adhesion of the drug ensures uniform seed treatment and reduces pesticide consumption.
Pesticide Compatibility
"Kaiser" can be used in tank mixtures with other disinfectants. Before compiling a complex of pesticides, it is necessary to check the preparations for compatibility.
Storage of the drug
"Kaiser" is placed in special rooms for storing pesticides. It is contained in the original, hermetically sealed packaging. The canister with the drug must have clearly visible information about the name, purpose and method of use of the insecticide. It should not be stored together with food, feed and nutritional supplements for animals.
Strangers, children, and pets are not allowed into the room where agrochemical compounds are stored. The warehouse is equipped with ventilation.The drug is contained in the temperature range from +5 to + 35 °C. Stored for 3 years from the date of manufacture.
