To transport and store large quantities of honey, you can use containers made of various materials (wooden barrels, metal cans). Special plastic containers are popular, they are inexpensive, weigh little, and are not difficult to clean. In this case, the main issue in operating the container is: how to quickly open a cube container with honey. The easiest way is to remove the cover using special tools.

Using a special key
An important advantage of a plastic container is its hermetically sealed lid, which protects the contents from dust and prevents accidental opening of the container. The downside of the cube container is that it is difficult to uncork.To open it without damaging the plastic, beekeepers use a special key.
The tool operates using a lever type and the process takes a few minutes.
- The key is placed on top of the container so that the support tube is located diagonally relative to the contour.
- Using platform jaws, grip the corner of the plastic container lid.
- Press the key handle with even force, gradually lifting all corners.
The device is made of galvanized or stainless steel.
Thanks to the carefully thought-out design, the key allows you to conveniently and quickly open dishes made of plastic and any polymers.
Opening with a bottle opener
It is advisable to have a special device if cube containers are constantly used. If the containers are rarely used, you can open them without a key. Various improvised objects (screwdrivers, rope-braid) or kitchen utensils are used. The easiest way to remove the lid is with a regular can opener:
- a larger blade is placed against the edge of the container (in the middle of the side) so that the cutting part is between the edge and the lid. Smoothly move the knife towards the corner of the box;
- use a blade to slightly lift the lid while moving along the rounded parts.
The service life of honey cube containers is at least 5 years if they are opened correctly. The advantages of containers are that empty products can be stored like a “matryoshka doll”, and filled closed containers can be stacked on top of each other.
