To make fertilizer from banana peels, you need to learn a few simple recipes and follow the step-by-step manufacturing instructions.

What are the benefits of banana peels for plants?

Without applying mineral and organic fertilizers, it will not be possible to grow a profusely fruiting or beautifully flowering plant. Unlike chemicals, natural fertilizers do not have a negative effect on soil and crops and are much cheaper. Some nutritional formulations can be made from food scraps, so gardeners often turn to natural fertilizers that are simply prepared at home.

Banana peels can not only saturate the soil with vitamins and minerals, but also serve as a natural prevention of pests on indoor and garden flowers, if you choose the right recipe. The peel of the exotic fruit contains elements such as potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and a small amount of nitrogen. 4. Scalding. Brew boiling water and pour it over the crushed skins for an hour and a half, after which the water is drained and the pulp is used to prepare fertilizer.

You can make several dressings from banana peels using simple recipes.

In ground form

You can use the peel of the tropical fruit in powder form. Fertilizer is prepared according to the following algorithm:

1. Roast 3 large banana skins in the oven.
2. After the raw material is completely dry, take it out and cool to room temperature.
3. Before use, grind the skins in a coffee grinder to a powder state.
4. Sprinkle the soil around the plants with a thin layer of the resulting fertilizer and carefully embed it into the soil to a depth of 2-3 cm.

Mixing with soil

The skins of the exotic fruit are also used in their entirety after preliminary freezing or drying, after dividing them into small pieces. They are embedded in the soil to a depth of 10 cm. Seedlings are planted on top of such a nutrient cushion or seed material is sown. Thanks to the saturation of nutrients, plants immediately begin to actively develop and increase green mass. After a week and a half, organic fertilizer completely decomposes in the soil without harming microorganisms.

Extract

For this recipe you will need fresh tropical fruit peels, which are pre-washed under running water. Infusion

An infusion from the peel is used to feed indoor flowers, and it is prepared according to the following recipe:

1. Prepare the skins by drying them in the oven or microwave.
2. A liter jar is filled halfway with dry raw materials and warm water is poured to the top.
3. Leave the container in a warm place for 5 days to allow the mixture to ferment.
4. After this, the peel is decanted and diluted with water in a ratio of 1:2.

Important! If you plan to spray indoor flowers with the solution, it must be diluted 1:10.

Compost

Compost is prepared from banana peels to later be used in the garden. Make a small depression in the soil and fence it off on all sides so that the compost does not crumble. Fresh fruit skins are placed at the very bottom of the pit, garden soil is placed on top and watered. Make several such layers, not forgetting to moisturize each one. Mulching
