Nitrogen fertilizers are used in agriculture for all crops. It is the main source of nitrogen that plants need to grow. Let's consider the composition and release form of "CAS-32", where and how to use the drug, and safety measures. How compatible is it with other fertilizers or pesticides? How to store the drug and under what conditions, what can be replaced in agriculture.
Composition and release form of "CAS-32"
“CAS-32” (urea ammonium nitrate) is a nitrogen fertilizer in liquid form, produced by the Russian company Acron. The percentage of nitrogen is 32%.This is a mixture of aqueous solutions of ammonium nitrate and urea. Nitrogen is found in 3 forms: nitrate, easily absorbed by plants, which has a quick effect, ammonium and amide. The last two allow the fertilizer to act for some more time until they turn into nitrate form. Thanks to nitrogen in 3 forms, “CAS-32” nourishes plants immediately after application and has a prolonged effect.
Due to the liquid form, nitrogen losses when adding the mixture are no higher than 10%, compared to the granular form, in which losses of the element can reach 30-40%. To prevent ammonia from evaporating, especially if the soil is dry and the air temperature is high, it is recommended to embed “CAS-32” into the soil, at least to the minimum permissible depth.
Area of use of the drug
Liquid fertilizer affects plants no worse than saltpeter and urea, but it enters the soil quickly and immediately begins to act. It is noted that after its use the amount of protein in the harvested grain increases.
Nitrogen fertilizer is recommended for feeding plants during the growing season. When preparing it, liquid can be added undiluted to the soil, under plants - in the form of a solution, and a solution can also be prepared for foliar feeding.
Spraying on the leaf is carried out in stressful situations (cold temperatures and frosts, drought, etc.), when the absorption of nutrients by plant roots slows down, and when the rate of growth and development slows down. The amide form of nitrogen quickly penetrates into the leaf tissues of all crops. It is recommended to combine foliar fertilizing with the “CAS-32” mixture with fertilizing with fertilizers containing microelements or with plant protection products.
Instructions for use
"CAS-32" can be used for all crops for the main application, during planting and for fertilizing. Dosage and consumption depend on the requirements of the crop and agrochemical parameters of the soil.
The first feeding in the spring can be done after the snow melts; for the second and third, it can be combined with protective equipment and growth regulators. The effectiveness of KAS-32 is affected by the weather. The maximum result can be seen provided that the solution lingers on the leaves for as long as possible. Therefore, it is recommended to carry out processing when it is cool and cloudy. For the same reason, it is not advisable to spray plants with a fertilizer solution soon after rain or after dew has fallen. The best time to apply “CAS-32” separately and together with other drugs is in the evening.
Safety precautions when working with the product
"CAS-32" is not hazardous to the environment, improves nitrogen consumption by plants during dry periods, and its application costs are lower compared to other fertilizers. The mixture is non-toxic, does not explode or ignite, as is typical for saltpeter.
In terms of the effects on the body of the components - nitrate and urea - the mixture belongs to class 3. You need to work with it in protective clothing, gloves, goggles and a respirator. Especially protect the skin from contact with the solution, which has an irritating effect. Any product that gets on the skin should be washed off with water. Do the same if liquid gets into your eyes.
Compatibility with other substances
With this nitrogen fertilizer, you can combine pesticides, fertilizers with microelements, this allows you to reduce costs due to a reduction in the number of treatments. Cost reductions also occur due to fully mechanized application processes.
Storage conditions
KAS-32 is kept in tanks for storing aqueous ammonia and complex fertilizers in liquid form. It must be transported and applied using machines for liquid fertilizers.
Storage conditions are special: due to the freezing of the liquid at sub-zero temperatures, it must be kept in a heated room to avoid crystallization. Fertilizer stored in a metal or plastic container should especially not be allowed to freeze. Shelf life: 6 months, then the effectiveness of the liquid decreases.
Analogs
You can replace “CAS-32” with nitrogen fertilizers: “Nitrogen phosphate” brand NP 33:3, “CAS-30”, “CAS-28”, “Plantafol”, “CAS-M”. The preparations contain nitrogen in different forms and differ in percentage.
Liquid nitrogen fertilizer "CAS-32" has many advantages over granular fertilizers. Nitrogen in it is found in 2 different forms at once: in the fast-acting nitrate form, as well as in the amide and ammonium forms, which allow the mixture to act prolonged. The mixture nourishes the plants throughout the season. It is characterized by a low percentage of nitrogen loss and low application costs. In addition to root nutrition, it supplies plants with useful elements through the leaves when sprayed. Allows them to recover faster and easier from a lack of elements, drought, cold weather, and exposure to adverse factors. Improves the condition of crops, the quality and quantity of the harvest increases.
