Biological preparations developed to protect cultivated plants from diseases have gained well-deserved popularity among domestic gardeners in the last decade. They do not harm the environment and accumulate in fruits. The only drawback of such products is that you will have to carry out several treatments per season. The instructions for use of “Sporobacterin” for plants describe the regulations for using the drug.
Composition and properties of "Sporobacterin"
Most biological products on the market have a single-component composition and limited effect on pathogens. "Sporobacterin" consists of two active substances, which ensures its high effectiveness. It contains:
- bacterium Bacillus subtilis with a titer of at least 108 CFU/g;
- mushroom Trichoderma viride (strain 4097) with a titer of at least 106 CFU/g.
The biofungicidal preparation arrives on store shelves in the form of a wettable powder, from which a liquid is prepared for treating plants. The product is packaged in paper bags of 20 grams, which is very convenient for owners of small summer cottages. There are also two types of fungicide on sale, intended for certain periods of crop development. These are “Sporobacterin-Vegetation” with a volume of 10 grams and “Sporobacterin-Seedlings” with a volume of 5 grams. The manufacturer of the natural remedy is the domestic company Orton.
"Sporobacterin" belongs to the class of systemic fungicides with contact action. The mechanism of its influence is based on the work of two components included in the composition, which ensures its high efficiency compared to similar products.
Thanks to the bacteria Bacillus subtilis, the immunity of cultivated plants is strengthened and pathogenic microorganisms that cause fungal diseases are destroyed. This component works especially actively in humid weather, and in drought, the Trichoderma viride fungus begins to act, thus, plants are protected from phytopathogens under any conditions.
Gardeners who have experienced the action of the biofungicide in practice have identified several advantages of the product:
- high efficiency in both dry and wet weather;
- the impossibility of overdose, and, accordingly, harm to plants;
- ecological purity and naturalness;
- ease of use, convenient formulation and packaging, as well as safety for the person carrying out the treatment, animals and honey insects;
- strengthening the development of the root system after using the drug and the supply of nutritional components to the tissues of the crops;
- improving soil fertility and structure.
Scope of application and consumption rate
The new generation biofungicide “Sporobacterin” was developed by domestic scientists for the treatment and prevention of fungal and bacterial diseases affecting crop plants. The list of diseases against which the product works effectively includes blackleg and powdery mildew, fusarium wilt and bacteriosis, mildew and scab.
Planting material - seeds, bulbs, tubers - is soaked in the prepared working solution, seedlings are watered, and adult plants are sprayed. Sporobacterin can be used throughout the entire vegetative period of crops.
The standard working solution is prepared as follows:
- Pour the powder from a 20-gram sachet into a liter of warm water.
- Add a tablespoon of sugar there and let it sit for half an hour.
- The resulting liquid is diluted in 20 liters of water and used for watering plants at the rate of 10 liters of solution per 100 square meters. meters of garden.
Important! Before use, the solution must be mixed.
Instructions for use
The instructions from the manufacturer indicate the rules for using the biofungicide. To get the expected effect, you must adhere to these recommendations.
For seedlings
To prevent diseases, seedlings acquire a special variety and prepare a solution according to the specified algorithm. Water the sprouts with this liquid a week after emergence. The second procedure is carried out 7 days later.
For vegetable crops
Experienced gardeners recommend treating with a biofungicide at the seed stage. This will prevent seedlings from becoming infected with such a dangerous disease as blackleg. For 1 kg of seed material, take 1.5 liters of working solution and keep the seeds in it for 6 hours before planting in the ground. If it is necessary to process potato tubers, then use 1 liter of prepared liquid per 100 kg of planting material, the procedure is carried out a week before the intended planting.
In the future, the method of root watering is used throughout the growing season; an interval of 20 days is maintained between treatments. 10 liters of working fluid are consumed per 100 square meters.
For fruit and berry crops
Fruit and berry trees are watered at the root twice during the growing season - before and after flowering. One adult specimen consumes 10 liters of working fluid.
Crops such as grapes and strawberries are sprayed during budding and after harvesting. The norm is 10 liters of solution per 100 square meters. meters of landings.
For indoor plants and flowers
For the prevention and treatment of indoor plants, including orchids, the spraying method is used, and not the entire flower is treated, but only the parts affected by the disease.As a preventative measure, the soil in the pot is disinfected, using 50 to 100 ml of working solution for each specimen.
Safety precautions
Biofungicide is a low-hazard substance for humans, but when working with it it is recommended to follow basic safety rules. Spraying is carried out wearing clothing that covers all parts of the body and rubber gloves. A gauze mask is also used to prevent the drug from entering the respiratory tract.
Features and shelf life
The manufacturer's instructions do not indicate the expiration date of the biofungicide for plants. The product must be kept away from food, in a separate room where the air temperature does not exceed 25 degrees.
