Active substance and formulation
The product is a one-component product, available in the form of a concentrated suspension.The active ingredient of the drug, flubendiamide, belongs to the chemical class of phthalic acid diamides. Its content in Belt is 480 grams/liter.
The drug has a systemic effect and is a contact and intestinal insecticide. Produced in Russia by the representative office of Bayer. Available in plastic canisters with a capacity of 1 liter. The product is supplied with a leaflet describing the characteristics of the drug, methods of use, and safety precautions. The packaging also requires a label containing information about the insecticide.
How it works and what it is used for
The product is used to destroy caterpillars on fruit trees (apple trees), tomatoes, eggplants, grapes, and cabbage. The drug enters the pest's body through direct contact or by feeding on parts of the plant treated with the insecticide. "Belt" is able to clean the area from the following pests:
- leaf rollers and codling moths;
- cotton bollworm;
- tomato leaf miner;
- cabbage moths and cutworms;
- whitefish;
- bunch moths.
The insecticide, entering the insect's body, affects calcium channels inside the cells. As a result of the massive release of calcium ions, the functioning of the insect’s nervous system is disrupted, resulting in paralysis, the pest cannot feed and move, and quickly dies. The results of the treatment appear within 1-2 hours after spraying the crops; about 2 days are needed to completely clear the area of pests.
The product is not phytotoxic if the manufacturer's recommendations are fully followed during processing.An increase in the concentration of the insecticide is unacceptable. The drug is used in a wide temperature range - from +15 to +40 ° C, without reducing efficiency. Resistant to washing off by rain.
Instructions for use of the insecticide "Belt"
Plants are treated with a freshly prepared working solution of the drug. It is not stored for more than a day. Spray plants in dry, windless weather. Work is carried out early in the morning or after sunset.
Preparation of the working solution: 1/3 of the required volume of liquid is mixed with the amount of emulsion concentrate recommended by the manufacturer, with constant intensive stirring. Then the remaining 2/3 of water is added, and the working solution is thoroughly mixed again.

Apple trees are treated for the first time in the ovary phase of 1-15 centimeters. Repeated spraying is carried out in the fruit filling phase. The grapes are sprayed when the bunches close and again during the ripening period of the bunches. Cabbage is processed during the head setting period and again after 3 weeks. The tomato is processed during flowering and during the period of fruit ripening.
Important: application in mixture with Decis Expert during the second treatment significantly enhances the effect. Repeated spraying is carried out at least a month before harvest. This rule is general for the use of pesticides.
Safety precautions when working with the drug
The insecticide is assigned hazard class 3 for humans and class 2 for bees. This means that it is moderately toxic to humans and highly toxic to bees. Therefore, before processing the plantings, it is necessary to warn beekeepers 5-7 days in advance in order to delay the flight of insects.
The preparation of the working solution is carried out on special platforms designed for working with agrochemical compounds. They are concreted or filled with asphalt for ease of cleaning and located away from housing and agricultural buildings.
Preparatory work and spraying are carried out by specially trained personnel who have been instructed and have the appropriate permit. Processing of plants is carried out in protective suits. Safety glasses and gloves are required. After treatment, it is necessary to rinse the sprayers to remove any remaining product. During the period of interaction with the insecticide, it is prohibited to eat, smoke or drink. Upon completion of work, wash exposed areas of the body.

Insecticides are stored in special agrochemical warehouses with ventilation. Contained in tightly closed original packaging, which must have a label with clearly readable information about the name and purpose of the product. No strangers are allowed into the warehouse.
