Modern industry produces agrochemical preparations for various purposes. Herbicides are used to control weeds, fertilizers increase crop yields, and insecticides protect plants from various types of insect pests. In what cases is it possible to use “Dimilin”, from whom it can protect, you need to know about this so as not to make a mistake in choosing the right means.
Active substance and release form
"Dimilin" comes in the form of a wettable powder or water-dispersible granules. The active ingredient of the drug is diflubenzuron, at a concentration of 250 grams per kilogram of dry product. Belongs to the chemical class of chitin synthesis inhibitors.
Available in moisture-proof bags with a capacity of 0.5 and 1 kilogram or in plastic canisters with a capacity of 5 liters. The packaging is hermetically sealed and must contain information about the name of the drug, its purpose, rules of use and expiration date.
Mechanism of operation and purpose of the drug
The product is intended to protect urban green spaces and non-fruit-bearing gardens from caterpillars, ticks that feed on vegetation, and arthropod insects. Protects plantings from hawthorn, codling moth, ringed silkworm, locust, lacewing, American white butterfly, and pine-eating pests.
“Dimilin” is used to treat forest belts, pastures, and spray various types of ornamental shrubs. It is suitable for protecting coniferous plants in nurseries and apple orchards. Used to eliminate pests in champignon production enterprises (indoor soil).
The drug blocks the production of chitin, prevents molting, and this does not allow individuals to develop. With high efficiency, it has moderate toxicity (hazard class 3 for humans). Refers to a new generation of insecticidal agents that prevent the growth and development of insect pests. Belongs to the class of contact and intestinal pesticides.
The drug has moderate toxicity; when used correctly, in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, it is not dangerous for animals and humans. For bees it has a hazard class 2 (toxic).
How to use insecticide correctly
The working solution is prepared before spraying; it is not stored for more than a day. First, water-soluble granules or powder are dissolved with constant stirring in a small amount of water, obtaining a concentrate. In the tank for the working solution, mix 1/3 of the volume of water recommended by the manufacturer with a concentrated Dimilin solution. Without ceasing to stir, add the rest of the water, bringing the working solution to the desired concentration.

The insecticide concentration recommended by the manufacturer should not be exceeded.
Safety precautions when working with Dimilin
The working solution is prepared on specially equipped sites. They are located away from residential and agricultural premises (farms, feed storage facilities, poultry houses). Strangers, children, and pets are not allowed into the cooking area.
Employees carrying out the work undergo preliminary training. All work on the preparation and use of the insecticide is carried out in protective suits, respirators, rubber gloves, goggles or protective screens. While working, you must not smoke, eat or drink. At the end of the work, the containers (tank, sprayers) are washed to remove insecticide residues.
The use of insecticide is prohibited in the water protection zone; before carrying out work, beekeepers must be notified 5-7 days in advance to adjust the timing of insect flight.
Compatibility
"Dimilin" can be used with other pesticides, insecticides, and agrochemical compounds.
Storage conditions and periods
The drug is stored in dry, ventilated areas for agrochemical compounds. Away from feed and food products. Contained in sealed original packaging, which contains information about the name and purpose of the product. Can be used for 3 years from the date of manufacture.
