Step-by-step instruction
After preparation, you should do the following:
- Make frame elements from timber. It is recommended to make vertical and horizontal supports.
- Connect the supports at right angles. To make the structure stable, use self-tapping screws.
- To support the load-bearing horizontal beams from below, make 4 corner pieces from the boards and secure them with self-tapping screws.
- Determine the size of the waste bin and build a frame to support it.
- On an iron sheet, mark the dimensions of the waste bin and determine the bend lines. Give the product the shape of a rectangular funnel and treat the joints with sealant.
- Secure the hopper to the support using self-tapping screws. Place a container below to collect feces.
- Cut the floor planks and attach them to the base.
- Assemble doors according to size. They are made from slats and mesh. Then secure the structural elements with hinges and screws.
- Using partitions, divide the room into compartments. Partitions can be made from fiberboard.
- Cover the back wall with a solid sheet.
It is recommended to make tiers according to the same principle. For home growing, 2 tiers are used. In this case, the upper part is allocated to the queen cell. The back wall should be insulated. It is recommended to use OSB board for the roof. It is fixed using self-tapping screws.
It is recommended to coat a waste bin made of metal with an anti-corrosion compound to protect it from the influence of ammonia and other factors.

To raise rabbits using this method, the cages should be equipped with the necessary equipment. It is important that they have a ventilation and food supply system. Special systems make it possible to receive food not strictly on a schedule, but constantly, when the rabbits need food.
A similar system is used for water. It must be filtered and heated as needed. The cage is ventilated all the time, which helps to avoid air stagnation inside.
Where to place it?
It is important to consider the location of the rabbit farm on the site. It is worth considering that the cells are placed in rows of several pieces. This helps prevent them from being blown away by gusts of wind. In addition, the cells should be united by a common roof. To make the structure stable, it is recommended to provide a concrete base. The blind side of the farm is turned to the north. In this case, the open part should be in the south.
If you plan to create a small farm, it is permissible to place cells one at a time. They are allowed to be placed under the windows of the house, which will in no way affect their stability.
