In its pure form, without the addition of impurities, this component is a white crystalline powder.
The active substance "Bipina" does not pose a threat to bee colonies. It does not affect their productivity and ability to reproduce. At the same time, the substance poses a moderate danger to warm-blooded animals. The drug produces a systemic and contact acaricidal effect on ticks.
Indications for use
The main indication for the use of the medicine is varroatosis of bees. This is a fairly common disease that poses a great danger to insects - pupae and adults. Its development is caused by Varroa mites.
At the initial stage, identifying the disease can be very problematic. Typically, parasites cling to the base of the wings or the sides of the bee's abdomen. In appearance, mites look like brown plaques.
At a critical stage of the disease, the following symptoms appear:
- lethargy of insects - they fall from the platform and move poorly;
- the appearance of young animals with defects - bees may lack wings or legs, the abdomen is deformed;
- mass death of pupae;
- accumulation of dead pupae, larvae and parasites on or nearby trays.
Infected individuals differ slightly in the shade of their fuzz. They show signs of rotting and dark brown spots on their body. When insects become infected, the hive often emits an unpleasant odor. With the help of "Bipin" you can quickly and effectively get rid of ticks.
The drug can be used not only for the treatment of varroatosis, but also for prevention. This remedy helps prevent the spread of pathology.
How to use?
To use the drug "Bipin" it must be diluted to an emulsion. The use of the concentrated composition in its pure form is prohibited. For 1 ampoule with a volume of 1 milliliter, you need to take 2 liters of clean water. It should be at room temperature. It is important that the indicator does not exceed 40 degrees. The prepared solution must be used within 24 hours. The next day you need to make a new mixture.
Period of use
To get rid of ticks, it is important to adhere to the time and timing of treatment. First you need to figure out in which month the manipulations need to be carried out. This is of great importance from the point of view of brood safety, since "Bipin" poses a danger to it.
That is why the product cannot be used in the spring. It will not give the desired effect and will only cause harm. The fight against mites is carried out only at the moment when they are on adult bees, and there is no closed brood in the hive. Female mites breed in closed cells of honeycombs. At this time, attempts to destroy them will not yield results.
It is best to use the product in the fall. In this case, two treatments are usually performed in October.Weather conditions during medical procedures are of no small importance. It is best to carry out the procedure in dry and windless weather. This should only be done at positive temperatures.
When processing twice, you should adhere to the following deadlines:
- immediately after collecting honey in September;
- before wintering in October.
If the hive is not too heavily affected by mites, re-treatment with Bipin does not need to be carried out. One exposure after collecting honey will be enough.
Dosage
To make a medicinal mixture, you need to take a 1 milliliter ampoule and mix it with 2 liters of water. The finished emulsion should have a white or milky tint. Any foreign shade is a reason to dilute a new composition. The product must be prepared immediately before use. To do this, use water at room temperature.
To treat your hives and get rid of dangerous parasites, you should do the following:
- pour the solution into a large plastic container;
- make a small hole in the lid;
- Gently water the hives.
The emulsion must be poured carefully. It is recommended to do this in small portions. This option has an important drawback. It does not allow you to control the volume of the substance used.As a result, there is a risk of overdose, which can negatively affect the bees.
For an accurate calculation, you should use a medical syringe. The process will take longer, but choosing the dosage will be easier. For one street it is recommended to use 10 milliliters of solution.
It is also permissible to prepare a medicinal mixture with kerosene. To do this, it is recommended to take 100 milliliters of kerosene per 4 milliliters of Bipin. This amount will be enough to process 50 bee colonies.

Treatment with “Bipin” can be carried out with a syringe and a dropper, which is connected to a plastic bottle. This can also be done with a smoke gun with a turntable. The first option is suitable for processing a small number of bee colonies, the second is used for large apiaries.
Procedure
Processing of hives should be carried out at an air temperature of +1-5 degrees. It is important to use Bipin correctly:
- Prepare a container with the medicine solution.
- Remove the cover.
- Wrap the canvas to reveal 2-3 streets.
- Spray the working fluid - 10 milliliters per 1 street. After which the treated area should be covered with canvas again.
- Continue manipulations for untreated areas.
- After 4 days, remove garbage and dead debris.
It is important to take into account the degree of aggressiveness of the bees. If it is high enough, it is recommended to carry out processing 1 street at a time.

If the dosage is observed, the drug is not dangerous. If the concentration is higher than recommended, there is a risk of toxic effects on bees, larvae and eggs.
Although Bipin is a low-toxic drug, this does not mean that you can not adhere to precautions when using it.
