The appearance of rodents in fields or gardens is a huge problem for farmers. These are crop losses, spoilage, and the possibility of product contamination. In addition, mice multiply rapidly and are carriers of dangerous diseases. The use of “Izocin” allows you to protect cereal crops and other plantings of open and protected ground from the invasion of voles and other species of small rodents.
Composition, formulation and what the product is used for
The product is produced by the Russian association Agrokhim, which specializes in the production of fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides and other agricultural products.
"Isocine" is an oil concentrate containing isopropylphenacine in an amount of 3 grams per liter. It is used to prepare a poisonous bait that is effective against various types of rodents. These are voles, hamsters, house mice, gray rats. Baits are used in open and protected ground plantings to rid areas of small rodents.

How does Izocin work?
The product is an anticoagulant from the group of coumarins. When rodents eat it, intoxication develops very quickly, the drug reduces blood clotting, and the animals die from internal bleeding.
To completely exterminate colonies in greenhouses, greenhouses and at home, the bait is laid out in the expected habitats of rodents and added periodically for two weeks.
Period of protective action and speed of exposure
“Isocine” works even after eating the bait once. Rodents die 3-5 days after treatment. The period of protective action depends on the number of animals. With a small population, one treatment is enough for 9-12 months. With a significant amount, double treatments are possible with an interval of 2 weeks between them. With systematic long-term treatment, the effectiveness may decrease; the drug should be replaced with a similar product with a different active ingredient.
Consumption rate and instructions for use
To create bait, steamed grains of oats, wheat, and corn are treated with the drug. For rats, use pieces of fish or meat. Vegetables cut into small cubes are used: carrots, beets, pumpkin, potatoes. To prepare 1 kilogram of the finished mixture, 30 milliliters of concentrate is enough.
The composition is prepared at special sites. The bait material and concentrate are mixed in drums, pickling machines, and special containers. Transportation of the finished bait from the place of preparation to the place of use is carried out in a tightly closed container. Before use, the bait should be left for 3-4 to 12 hours so that the concentrate is completely absorbed into the base.
The drug has hazard class 2. Specially trained personnel equipped with personal protective equipment are allowed to work with it. Special clothing, a respirator, rubber gloves, and safety glasses are required.If the product gets into your eyes or skin, rinse it off with plenty of running water and consult a doctor.
Important: pets must be protected from accidentally eating the poisoned base.
The bait is placed in holes, bait boxes, and plastic tubes. When treating residential and commercial premises, it is placed at intervals of 3-5 meters or in places where rodents are expected to live. 10-20 grams of bait per hole is enough; 40-50 grams are placed in boxes.
Compatibility with other pesticides
The product is used separately from other agricultural preparations. Mixing with insecticides and pesticides may reduce the effectiveness of Izocin.
Storage of the drug
“Izocin” is stored in special rooms, in original packaging. The container must include the name of the drug, its purpose and instructions for use. Keep it in places inaccessible to children, pets, and away from feed and food products. Under conditions that prevent accidental use.
