A non-systemic insectoacaricide belongs to preparations of biological origin and is characterized by an intestinal-contact effect on pests. Vertimek contains a single active substance called abamectin. This component is obtained as a result of fermentation of the soil bacterium Stereptomyces avermitilis. 1 liter of Vertimek contains 18 grams of biological substance.
The insectoacaricide is sold in the form of an emulsion concentrate, which is packaged in 1-liter plastic bottles. Also in garden stores you can find disposable 10 ml packages of the drug, which is convenient if you need to treat home flowers. The manufacturer of Vertimek is the Swiss company Syngenta.

The active substance of the insectoacaricide belongs to the class of avermectins and effectively destroys insect pests such as apple worm, thrips, miners, and ticks.
The drug "Vertimek" was developed by the manufacturer for the treatment of vegetable crops planted both in open ground and in greenhouses, apple trees, grape plantations, as well as home ornamental plants.
After the penetration of the active substance into the leaves of cultivated and ornamental plants, paralysis occurs in insects that damage the crops. As a result, the pests cannot feed and die. The active component of the product is equally effective both when it comes into contact with the parasite and when it penetrates with the green mass into the intestines.
Those who have already tried the insectoacaricide “Vertimek” in practice have identified several advantages of the drug. The advantages of pest control products include:
- speed of penetration into plant tissue - this takes about 2 hours;
- effective protection of cultivated plants from insects for a month after treatment;
