Description of the variety
Tomatoes "Cherry Fingers F1" are an early hybrid of tomatoes. The vegetative period lasts up to 100 days. The variety is characterized by high stress resistance, cold resistance, and productivity. They are grown in open ground and also in greenhouses. Gives good results when grown on a windowsill or balcony in pots.
“Cherryfingers F1” is a semi-determinate tomato that can grow in height from 40 to 100 cm, depending on the conditions and care of the bush. It forms about 10 clusters, each of which is laid through 2 true leaves.The first brush is placed between 6-8 sheets. On the hands there are up to 10-12 cherry tomato fruits, like fingers, of an elongated cylindrical shape, which is where the name of this variety actually comes from.
The hybrid is quite unpretentious, but it requires tying up the bushes. The first stepsons are removed to obtain an earlier harvest. Tomatoes are characterized by uniform yield and uniform fruit sizes. Productivity 3.5-4.5 kg per 1 sq. m.
Characteristics of fruits: The color of ripe fruits of Cherryfingers tomatoes is bright red. Tomatoes grow 4-6 cm and weigh 15-25 grams. The taste is excellent. Tomatoes are sweet, moderately juicy, sugary, two-chambered, and contain few seeds. The fruits are suitable for all types of preservation and processing, as well as for fresh consumption. Look great in a jar.
The transportability and keeping quality of the variety are high.
How to grow natural tomatoes without chemicals
To get a high-quality harvest without the use of chemicals, the following recommendations must be followed at all stages of cultivation:
- Temperature conditions for tomato seedlings and bushes:
- Temperature 23-25 0From before germination in a box under film;
- After seed germination, reduce the temperature to 20-22 degrees;
- Daytime temperatures should be 5 degrees higher than night temperatures, which are 14-15 degrees;
- 1-2 weeks before planting in the soil, seedlings need to be hardened off, gradually increasing the seedlings' exposure to the open air in the evening or in cloudy weather.
- The seeds are sown in light, fertile soil. It’s good to add ash to tomatoes, about 0.5 liters per bucket of soil.
- Seedlings need to be watered only when the top layer of soil dries out.
- It is better to plant seedlings in a permanent place when the seedlings reach 25-30 cm.Seedlings should not be allowed to overgrow and thin out, as this will lead to loss of yield.
- For 1 sq. m, it is optimal to plant from 3 to 5 tomato bushes. Thickening of planting leads to loss of yield.
- The beds should be carefully prepared for planting seedlings. Warm beds have proven themselves well:
- cardboard is placed at the bottom of such a bed;
- then a layer of sawdust about 10 cm is loaded on top;
- lay hay or fresh grass on the sawdust and compact it with a layer of 30 cm;
- sifted humus or compost mixed with ash and soil from the site is the top layer of the bed. It should be approximately 20-30 cm, but more is possible.
Warm beds only need to be watered. They work great for 3 years without adding any additional fertilizers.
