The variety was bred by breeders from Moldova and is intended for cultivation in greenhouses or greenhouses. In the southern regions, Torch can also be grown in open ground.
Tomato belongs to the group of mid-season vegetables with high yield. Bushes of determinate type, compact, spreading. The vegetative mass grows quickly and in large volume.The plant got its name due to the shape of the bush - narrow at the base and significantly expanding at the top, like a torch.
The bushes have medium foliage, the shoots are low, erect, up to 0.8 m high. The bushes require partial pinching. For better ripening of the crop, bushes should be formed into no more than 3 stems. The foliage is large, simple, dark emerald in color. The ovaries are collected in racemose inflorescences of 5–7 pieces. The first ovary usually forms above 6–7 leaves.
Ripening fruits are round in shape, smooth, without signs of ribbing. The color of a ripe tomato is bright scarlet, the weight of one fruit is up to 100 g. In the cross-section of a ripe tomato there are 4 - 5 chambers with seeds. The fruits are juicy and pleasant to the taste. The skin is quite dense, but not thick, and not prone to cracking.
When harvesting, the fruits are separated from the stalkless inflorescences. Ripe tomatoes can be used fresh, canned, or prepared delicious tomato juice.
Ripe tomatoes tolerate transportation well over long distances and can be stored in a cool place for quite a long time.
A description of the Fakel variety would be incomplete without mentioning its yield. At 1 m2 You can plant at least 5 - 6 bushes of the variety, and up to 10 kg of ripe tomatoes are harvested from each one per season. To achieve such a yield, you should regularly water and feed the tomatoes.
