About the hybrid
The description of the hybrid, according to the register of vegetable crops of the Russian Federation, indicates the possibility of its cultivation in spring film greenhouses throughout the European part of Russia; it is also suitable for cultivation in open ground. Ripening period is early.The bush is of a determinate type, 70 cm high, after 2-3 inflorescences its growth is independently restrained and a compact plant is formed. The fruits are collected in clusters of 5-6 pieces. The productivity is high; during the summer one bush produces at least 10, maximum 30 excellent tomatoes.
Characteristics of the fruits: very large, deep pink, round, weighing from 200 to 250 g, mostly equal in weight. The pulp is of moderate density. The boxes with the sown seeds are covered with glass or film and placed in a warm place; they do not need lighting now. Soil for seedlings is a mixture of garden soil and humus in equal parts.
After emergence, seedlings need to be provided with lighting, as well as watering and fertilizing. Picking of seedlings is carried out when the first true leaf is formed.
The seedlings are transplanted to a permanent place at the age of 60-65 days. Good seedlings during this period may already have flower buds. The covering material was removed in June. The last fruits can be harvested before frost and ripened indoors. These tomatoes store well. We plant only determinate varieties. We will plant Gift for a Woman every year because of its unpretentiousness, the fruits are very large, and the yield is high.
The hybrid is very flexible, it can be grown early, for example, in a heated greenhouse, sowing seeds for seedlings in February, or you can sow the seeds later, directly into the soil under the film. In both cases, a good harvest was obtained. We tried many pink varieties, but Gift to a Woman is the most resistant to late blight and heat-resistant.
