Description
Irene f1 is a mid-season indeterminate variety. From the emergence of seedlings to the collection of the first fruits, 100–105 days pass. Like all tall varieties of tomatoes, the hybrid needs shaping and staking. The bushes are densely covered with medium-sized leaves familiar to tomatoes, which are colored rich green.
After pollination, cylindrical fruits are formed on simple inflorescences. The skin of tomatoes is smooth and dense.Unripe tomatoes are light green, while ripe tomatoes are bright red. The pulp is juicy and sweet. If the technology for growing the crop is followed, the fruits weigh 95–110 g. When grown in greenhouses, the yield of the variety is 8 kg/m. sq.
During crossing, breeders endowed the hybrid with good immunity to most tomato diseases, including verticillium and fusarium.

Features of cultivation and care
The hybrid, like all other varieties of tomatoes, does not require any special conditions. The first thing to do is sow the seeds. To do this, 50–55 days before planting, the seedling container is filled with a moist substrate, and then grooves 2–3 cm deep are made on the surface using a ruler.
After sowing is completed, the container is covered with glass and placed in a warm, bright place. To prevent mold from appearing on the soil, the cover is removed daily for 30–60 minutes. When the seedlings are 7 days old, the glass is removed, gradually increasing the time they remain open. Those who have at least once planted tomatoes confirm that thanks to this scheme, the seedlings do not stretch.
Of course, it is difficult to underestimate the importance of sowing, however, in order for young shoots to turn into healthy, fertile bushes, they need to be looked after.
So that the characteristics of the hybrid do not turn out to be empty words, you need to perform the following garden manipulations:
- Watering. Tomato variety Irene f1 does not require a lot of moisture for normal development. In dry weather, water is added to the plants once a week, and when moderate precipitation periodically falls, watering is not carried out at all.Please note that drought is not as dangerous for crops as excess moisture. It is high humidity in tandem with low temperature that is the main catalyst for fungal diseases.
- Picking. You can plant the bushes in separate pots after 2-3 true leaves have formed. Tomatoes are transplanted into the garden at the age of 5–6 leaves.
- Garter. Since the description contains information that the hybrid belongs to the group of tall tomatoes, 7–10 days after planting, pegs are installed in a permanent place near the plants. To prevent the stem from being injured during strong gusty winds, elastic twines or strips of old tights are used to attach it to the support.
- Feeding. Among fertilizers, mineral mixtures, calcium nitrate and organic solutions are considered the best. For greater efficiency, root feeding is combined with leaf spraying. To feast on healthy tomatoes, you need to carefully add nitrogen.
