Instructions for use for goats
Ivermek is administered intramuscularly to goats when parasites are detected. During the injection, it is important to follow the rules of asepsis. You need to inject in the area of the croup (lower back), thigh or neck.The injection is given in the place where the goat has more muscles. The easiest way is to inject the animal into the thigh.
Dosage: 1 ml of “Ivermek” per 50 kg of animal weight. The injection is given once using a 2-milliliter disposable syringe. In severe cases, the drug is administered twice, but with an interval of 8 or 10 days. Preventive injections are given in the spring, just before animals are taken out to pasture, or in late autumn, before being kept in stalls. Injections against helminths are recommended only in the absence of colds or infectious diseases.
What are the side effects?
When using this remedy, it is necessary to take into account not only body weight, but also the general condition of the animal. For sick goats, it is advisable to reduce the dosage, then there will be no side effects. This toxic drug is not dangerous at recommended levels. An incorrectly calculated dosage may lead to an undesirable reaction. In case of an overdose, depression, lack of appetite, diarrhea, increased salivation, and tremors are observed. In this case, the goat needs to be given more water.
Occasionally, the animal experiences an allergic reaction: increased salivation, ataxia, frequent urination or defecation. If goats have allergies, they are given an antihistamine and plenty of water.
Contraindications
It is prohibited to use Ivermek if the components of the drug cause an allergic reaction in animals. The medicine is not prescribed to weakened and sick goats. The drug should not be given to pregnant or lactating mothers. Other antiparasitic drugs, as well as drugs containing macrocyclic lactones, cannot be prescribed together with Ivermek.

"Ivermek" in its original packaging can be stored for two years from the date of manufacture. Temperature - from 0 to 20 degrees Celsius. It is recommended to store the product in the first aid kit along with other drugs for the treatment of goats. After the expiration date, it is prohibited to use Ivermek.
After opening, the drug must be refrigerated (do not freeze) and used within 42 days. Empty medicine bottles must not be used for household purposes; it is recommended to throw them in the trash.
