Many summer residents want to get early tomatoes for universal use on their plot. Tomato Semenych f1 meets these requirements. Having planted this vegetable crop, every gardener will be satisfied not only with the quality of the products, but also with the easy care of the plant.
Cultivation of the variety
Tomato Semenych is a new generation hybrid. The vegetable crop was obtained by Russian breeders for cultivation in all regions of the Russian Federation.In 2003, having passed all the test work on cultivation in open ground and greenhouses, the variety was included in the State Register. Thanks to successful selection, the Semenych tomato inherited only the best characteristics of its “parents”, due to which it gained great popularity among amateur gardeners and farms.
Description of the plant
The tomato variety Semenych belongs to the determinant type of plants, that is, with limited growth vigor. When the crop forms 3-4 inflorescences on the main stem, the bush stops the process of increasing in length and produces lateral shoots for additional fruit clusters. On average, the height of the plant reaches 50–60 cm, which immediately indicates its miniature structure. This feature allows you to grow tomatoes in low greenhouse structures to obtain an early harvest.
Additional description of the variety:
- bush of compact structure, medium branched;
- leaf dark green, medium size;
- the first inflorescence is formed above the 7–8 leaf;
- stalk with articulation;
- inflorescence with single flowers;
- in one brush from 5 to 7 fruits are formed.
The yield of the variety is up to 7.2 kg per 1 sq. m. or about 4 kg from 1 bush.
Yield Characteristics
The Semenych tomato variety is loved by many gardeners for its yield qualities. The bush produces its first ripe fruits on the 95th day, after the seeds have germinated. The universal qualities of tomatoes allow them to be used both fresh and processed. However, due to their appearance and taste, they are more often used in whole-fruit canning.
Description of fruits:
- Weight - the fruits are miniature, weighing no more than 100 g.
- The shape is obovate.
- The skin is smooth and durable.
- The color is rich green at the initial stage, bright red at maturity.
- The taste is good.
- The pulp is dense.
- The number of nests is 2–3.
- Transportability is high.
Tomatoes also have a long shelf life. After harvesting, they are not deformable for more than 2 weeks.
Advantages and disadvantages of the variety
Many gardeners are biased towards hybrid vegetable crops, considering their taste to be imperfect. Unlike its “relatives”, the Semenych tomato produces a tasty early harvest. In addition, it is endowed with a large number of advantages.
The main advantages of the variety include:
- friendly return of the harvest;
- fruit evenness;
- resistance to tomato diseases;
- 100% seed germination;
- convenience in carrying out agricultural technology.
No particular disadvantages were identified in the variety.
When growing, tomato does not require special agricultural technology. Sowing seeds and transplanting seedlings is carried out according to the standard scheme. The bush doesn't grow much. The plant responds well to complex fertilizing. If you build a support for the tomato and remove all the leaves during fruit development, the plant will also be able to decorate the area with its decorative appearance.
