Features of making cherry jam for the winter
To make jam, you need to select strong berries. It is better to take a variety with almost black fruits. But if the fruits are unripe or small, it is better to leave them for marmalade or jam.
Different recipes require different amounts of sugar. Accordingly, in the end the jam is more liquid or, on the contrary, thicker. The proportions are different.
Although preparing seedless delicacies is more labor-intensive, the dessert is more delicious and of higher quality. It must be cooked in two or three steps, keeping the berries in sweet syrup.
How to quickly remove pits from cherries?
This can be done using ordinary household items - a garlic press, a teaspoon, a paper clip, tweezers, a cocktail straw, a fork, a pin.

How to choose and prepare products correctly?
The berries should be firm and not spoiled. During preparation, the cherries must be washed and the stems removed.
When it is intended to use seedless fruits, these seeds must be removed from the berries. If with them, then each berry must be pierced, for example, with a toothpick.
Preparing the dishes
The jars into which the jam is then poured must be well washed and sterilized, as well as the metal lids.
Why does cherry jam turn out liquid?
