Description of the tomato variety Extreme, its characteristics and cultivation

Since 2007, the Extreme tomato has been included in the state register of indeterminate varieties intended for cultivation in open ground or in film structures. The seeds are sold by the Biotechnika company and are advertised as a variety adapted for cultivation in regions with cold climates. The advantage of a plant with early ripening is its good survival in difficult conditions.

  • rapid recovery from stress without loss of fruiting ability;
  • ability to produce a large volume of fruit.

tomato Extreme

The plant is distinguished by strong shoots and has medium-sized leaf plates of a rich green color. The bushes are distinguished by a small amount of green mass. A characteristic feature is the shortened internodes of the plant. The inflorescence has a simple structure and has a stalk with an articulation.

Characteristics of the fetus

The fruits are characterized by a flat-round shape with slight ribbing. The vegetable pulp is medium dense and has a rich tomato flavor. Reviews from gardeners speak about the quality of the “sugar content” of the fruits. Due to these characteristics, tomatoes are ideal for fresh use in salads. Unripe fruits have a light greenish tint, which turns bright red during ripening. The disadvantage of vegetables is their tendency to crack, so it is recommended to remove the fruits in a timely manner.

fast recovery

The average weight of one fruit varies from 150 to 210 grams. During the ripening period from 1 m2 it is possible to obtain a harvest of 4.6 kilograms. When grown in greenhouse conditions and proper agricultural technology, the yield of tomatoes can be slightly above average, and the weight of the fruit can reach 250 grams.

Features of care

The plant is grown by seedlings. The time for sowing the planting material is determined in such a way that 50 to 55 days pass before the time of planting in a permanent place. Seeds are sown in special containers in previously prepared soil. The following soil composition is considered the most suitable:

the plant is different

  • turf 2 parts;
  • humus 2 parts;
  • fine sand 1 part.

From the moment the seedlings are planted in a permanent place until the first fruits are harvested, 105–110 days pass. Planting material does not need to be deeply buried in the ground. Seedlings are grown at a temperature of 16 C0. Diving is carried out when the shoots form 2 true leaves in a container, the diameter of which does not exceed 10 cm. 7 days before transplanting to a permanent place of cultivation, fertilizing is carried out with a complex mineral fertilizer, which is dominated by potassium and phosphorus.

planting seedlings

It is recommended to adhere to a planting pattern of 40 by 80 cm. The shoots are formed into one stem and the pinching procedure is periodically carried out. The growth point is pinched above the fourth brush of the bush. Care consists of timely watering, removing weeds, loosening the soil to better supply the plant with oxygen and feeding with mineral complexes.
