Russian tomatoes - a response to sanctions
In 2016, at the height of sanctions, the Russian tomato variety T 34 scared the West. The menacing name of the tomato scared European producers, not without the participation of the American media.Political scientists, with the participation of journalists, tried to impose on ordinary people the idea of Russian aggression on European vegetable markets.
The Russian hybrid is indeed very promising in terms of productivity and it is not for nothing that it scares farmers in Bulgaria and other European countries. - The fruits are formed in clusters of at least 5-6 pieces each, ripen simultaneously, and are harvested in clusters rather than individual tomatoes.

The purpose of tomatoes is salad; the fruits form and ripen within 110 days. In heated polycarbonate greenhouses, summer residents can harvest crops during the following seasons:
- winter spring;
- summer;
- autumn winter.

In the T 34 hybrid, the fruits have a regular plum-like shape, they are uniform in size, shape and color. Ripe tomatoes are evenly colored, the color of ripe fruits is red without green spots in the stalk area.
The smooth skin has a thin, dense structure. The average weight of plum tomatoes is about 100 g; there can be from 7 to 8 pieces in a bunch. The first inflorescence (tassel) is formed in the axil of the 9 (10) leaf.
Relation of T 34 to diseases
The hybrid is modern; during its development, a special gene was introduced into the genotype, which guarantees lasting immunity to dangerous tomato diseases:
- VTM;
- fusarium;
- verticillium;
- cladosporiosis;
- nematode.
