- The berry has a bitter taste, so to prepare it you need to take a lot of sugar.
- Instead of granulated sugar, you can use honey. How much sweetener to add depends on a person’s taste preferences.

To make jam, you need to take a ripe berry that can produce juice. Also, the chokeberry should be dense, shiny, and even. Berries with spots are not used in jam.
Important: there should be no rotten rowan in the dessert, since even 1 berry can spoil the delicacy and it will not last through the winter.

- 1.3 kg of rowan;
- 1 PC. orange;
- 1.1 kg sugar;
- 900 ml water.

- Place the selected berries in a colander and wash.
- Place the chokeberry in a small wide bowl and cover with water.
- Send to the fire. The berries should boil for about 7 minutes.
- Add sugar and continue cooking for another 7 minutes.
- Afterwards, the treat should be moved to a cool room for 4 hours.
- The orange is peeled, divided into slices, and crushed in a blender.
- The jam is returned to the stove, and when it starts to boil, the orange is introduced.
- After 6 minutes, the gas is turned off, and the aromatic delicacy is poured into jars.
No cooking
An original recipe for raw jam will save the housewife time.

- Berry – 600 gr.

- Citric acid – 0.5 tsp.
- Sugar – 500 gr.
Step-by-step cooking procedure:
- The chokeberry is filled with water and washed.
- Pass the chokeberry with orange slices through a meat grinder.
- Add granulated sugar and citric acid.
- The jam is stirred and placed into jars.
The recipe for this jam is quite simple, but it is important to maintain the storage temperature so that it lasts longer. If there are only a few jars left, you can store them on the bottom shelf in the refrigerator.

The chokeberry dessert can be prepared in 5 minutes, and to make the aroma more intense, add vanillin and 2 or 3 oranges.
List of ingredients:
- Orange – 3 pcs.
- Rowan berries - chokeberry - 2 kg.
- Water – 300 ml.
- Sugar – 1 kg.
The rowan is washed and blanched for 2 minutes. Juice is squeezed out of oranges. The chokeberry is crushed using a blender and granulated sugar is added. The mass is boiling. After this, orange juice and vanillin are added. The jam should boil for about 10 minutes.

To prepare a healthy treat, you will need the following products:
- 500 gr. chokeberry;
- 250 gr. walnuts;
- 1 kg sugar;
- orange;
- lemon.
Step-by-step cooking process:
- Wash the chokeberry and drain in a colander.
- Wash the citrus fruits and immerse them in boiling water for 10 seconds. Remove the fruits and cut into slices.
- Grind the orange, lemon, chokeberry, and nuts in a meat grinder.
- Sprinkle the resulting mass with granulated sugar, mix and put on low heat.
- The mixture is stirred during cooking.
- When the jam boils, you will need to cook it for another 5 minutes.
- Turn off the fire.
- Distribute the hot dessert into jars, roll up and turn upside down.
- Wrap the blanks in a blanket and leave until the morning.
With ginger
An interesting version of jam with the addition of ginger and cherry leaves. The recipe includes the following products:
- Black rowan – 1 kg.
- Sugar – 1.3 kg.
- Orange – 2 pcs.
- Lemon juice – 100 ml.
- Fresh ginger – 15 gr.
- Cherry leaves – 10 pcs.
Wash the orange, pour over boiling water, cut into slices, grind in a blender. Wash the black rowan and crush it with a masher to extract juice. Grate the ginger.
Combine washed cherry leaves with prepared ingredients. Cook the dessert for 5 minutes after boiling. The cooking procedure is carried out 4 times.
